Some exciting news, for myself.. Actually it seems that this September there will be not one, but two books of mine published (by two different houses). One local and one Athenian. Both publications will be entirely funded by the houses (ie i am not providing any help in that, which of course is not just great for myself but really a great honor in these difficult times here...). The local one will print the far larger volume (which may reach 160 pages in printed book form, and is a collection of 11 short stories).. The Athenian one will have two stories, and a bit less than 40 pages (publications seem to go by multiples of 16 pages).
The book with the 11 stories has been agreed upon to be titled 'The Chrysalis'. That is also the title of one of the stories there, which made the biggest impression to the publishers. (the Athenian one's title likely will be 'The Spiral', again the title of the main story there).
Today it was also agreed that the book's cover will be a drawing of a Chrysalis (ie those cocoon-like formations that some insects create so as to transform into their final stage; the story uses a butterfly as part of the web of metaphor and delusion it has). The theme is horror, so the drawing likely will have a sinister tone

If you feel like it you may post about this news. I am very happy with it. Surely this September will be by all regards a serious breakthrough for me literature-wise (despite all those texts already having been written, and a few already printed in periodicals as well). The round of editing has ended and i will soon be presented with the suggestions for changes, and work together with the editor on those. I was told by the publisher that there wasn't that much need to change things, but surely changes have been made and i will be implementing/reviewing/examining/agreeing there too
