Some very n00bish questions

1. In story terms, what is transcendence? My understanding is that people upload themselves to the planet (which is essentially an organic supercomputer) Tron-Style, but I'm probably wrong, since I've heard it compared to technological singularity.
2. How do you rename bases? Deep community just sounds wrong under Lal.
3. Speaking of which, is there any way for Lal to avoid war with Yang?

1- Trancendence is when you upload yourself onto computers which merge with the fungus' neural net called "Voice"
2-click on the "rename" while in the city screen.
3-Pretty much no, because neither can use the other's SE choice. It's not like with Morgan how you just pick green econ to avoid the gaians, or with university/spartans pick power/knowledge.

Thanks, I'm just glad I've got Zak on my side! But I still don't see why people compare transcendence to technological singularity (e.i. we create machines whose intelligence slightly exceeds our own, resulting in a technological boom.)
