Ok, winter break is coming up, and people should have a bit more free time on their hands. So I propose that we get the online Somnium up and kicking with a nice crowd. Main reason not many people play is because when they swing through there aren't people to play against, and most of the folks who you find on #erebus probably don't have an OpenID to go off and play against you on request.
So here is a signup sheet for a Somnium Tournament. The only requirement is that you sign up for the tournament before December 23rd, and you state your OpenID login when registering for the tournament (so that your opponent or yourself know what ID to enter for creating the game).
Tournament will be standard ladder format (See below image). Games will be played starting December 29th and going for as long as needed based on the number of participants. Each bracket of the tournament will have an 8 hour block to accomodate all the time-zone differences which will arise. It is the responsibility of the competitors to discuss with each other to decide precisely when their match will occur. Ideally though the first round everyone will try to be online at once so that there are plenty of games for other players to observe

To sign up: respond to this thread stating your OpenID login so that a game can be created for you. Sign-ups close December 23rd
Once your match has been decided, you can come to this post and state the results.
Ladder in this post will be updated as regularly as possible. and the last line of the post will state when the current Bracket time allotment expires. First round starts December 29th
EDIT: Signups are closed now and roster is attached. First Round commences at noon PST on December 29th, and results must be posted by midnight PST the same day. Round 2 will be able to start any time after you know who your opponent will be, but the official end time for round two will be noon PST on the 30th of December, Round 3 Officially ending on Midnight of the 30th, and the final round shall take place at noon PST on the 31st of December (or an agreed upon time by the contestants who make the finals, but ideally the time is decided early enough that people can plan to observe the match if they wish to).
