Somnium Tournament

Ok, so it looks like we'll have to run civplayah against JDexter sometime today, and then the finals between the winner of that match and GreyFox anytime after that match has concluded. Sorry it didn't work out for you Sifaus, but hopefully this has been enjoyable enough that people will make it a regular activity :) (I know I had a blast personally, though future tourney's might be advised to allow a full 24 hours for each round, due to timezones and whatnot)

Might also be wise to divide the brackets so that one is Eastern (Euroasia) and the other Western (American).

You and JDexter play any time that you agree on, send him a PM or post here when you'd prefer to play. I'm pretty sure if you include GreyFox in the plans he'll arrange to be present for the final round to follow immediately afterward.

I should be available starting now. Please respond to my PM or join #Erebus so that we can duke it out soon. :)

Still no sign, neither in the chat nor via PM. :-/
At least Greyfox played my first Somnium Online match with me. :)

I am still here, I was just doing some sleeping. Anytime today, really I'll moniter this a lot.

I'm awake now and lurking around in the chat. But I might play a few turns of FfH, so it could take a while before I respond... ;)

Ok I've started the Final game, JDexter's up for the first turn.

If anyone want to watch, you should go to the somnium page and click the Tournament 1 - Final game (at the bottom of the list).

Congrats Grey Fox!!

I watched the final.... but I have a question....

Is it just me or is it required to constantly refresh the page to see what's happening?

It seemed to me that I could click refresh 4 times in 10 seconds and see the game in fits and starts....

For example.... I was watching game 2 and there were still 15 or so cards left.... when I refreshed, the game was over and the next game was starting....

Hard to watch the games this way....

So I wonder.... is it my browser or just the way the online version is written?

Thanks a lot!

You have to refresh when it's a new game. Sometimes two times if you didn't click the new game button.
EDIT: Btw, to the creator of the browser version of this game, I would love a replay feature!

For me it is pretty rare that I have to refresh at all, even when entering a new game, but if it does happen that is usually when. Which browser were you using? Opera and Internet Explorer definitely work, I think that Firefox works fairly well (is what GreyFox used IIRC)

I was running IE at that point.... but if I didn't refresh, the screen was static.... browser did report "error on page," but no idea what error that may have been.

Hmmmm....
