Songs skipping

When i play songs on WMP towards the end they start to skip, does anyone have a clue why?

I've had some skipping problems lately on Media Player too. For me though it skipped frequently throughout the songs rather than just at the end. This only happened on one CD, others worked just fine.

If its the CD, maybe the CD drive is working a little slower. I had some problems installing problems because of the CD drive going slow.

I always rip my music, and it doesn't skip unless the CD gets scratched which I can easily fix with my CD repair thingy.

I ripped my music too, its almost like it has to load the ending of the song, I've never had WMP do this before so i have no idea what its doing.

use winamp; does it do the sam ething?

I've never had problems with music skipping in Winamp. I don't like WMP, really.

It also could be to do with memory, check the RAM and CPU usage while playing songs.

Also, try downloading a few sogns off the web -- if those ones don't skip, maybe check the CDs or try another CD ripper.
