Me and my dice bag are actually declaring war on the RNG. I am extremely serious right now. I refuse to play until Tany uses a percent die (or a D20 if he understandably doesn't have one) for me.

20% of 54 is 10. I think I've gotten better than the threshold one time this entire game.

Actually, in light of the Pax Terrorista, I cut the success rate of theft to 10%. Discovery is still 10%.

So your chances were 10.8%... and you got 10. About right.

Comintern Formed!

Various states around the world are proud to announce the formation of the Comintern.

Despite many ideological differences, the Comintern seeks to promote economic and military cooperation.

Current member states are:

Angola (Chair)

Colombia - a state where the government runs all operations; a plutocracy has emerged amongst the bureaucrats. Heavily authoritarian, though not quite Stalinist yet.

Mozambique - a state where much of the socialist framework is at the local level, making it relatively anarcho-socialist

Kazakhstan - A democratic socialist republic, it is perhaps the most Trotskyite of the world's Soviet states

Mjubi-Mayi - A decentralised, left-wing paradise in the center of the Congo, Mjubi-Mayi wishes to spread communism to other parts of the globe.

This new alliance possesses 835 billion dollars in GNP, out of a global total of 10,413 billion. 8% of the global economy is solidly in the hands of the Communists. By comparison, the Triple Alliance has 1565 billion.

Socialist Abyssinia has gone off the deep end, whereas Gangia cites other diplomatic commitments.

In a bad way?

Yes. I have NO idea what anyone but you and me were talking about.

That would have been something to tell me before I tried stealing from 9 countries. Also, that doesn't come into effect until THIS turn.

Yeah, I had to use Google translate to write the rest of it.

I have NO idea what the Special Swiss Bank Account is, and take it to just mean Industry spending...

==Alaska==

While Alaska appreciates the assistance of the UFNAN, it would prefer to handle this itself, and requests the territories either be handed over free of charge or that Alaska be left to handle this on its own.

As a note, Alaska is stronger than it looks...

Probably shouldn't post here, but I didn't see a sign-up thread. Please don't be mad.

Still too late to join? I'm new to this, so I'm joining a few starting out to get a feel for the different styles -- if there are any. If I can get an updated/current map, that'd be great. I'd go ahead and get a nation going ASAP.

The many NPCs are still open. There's Denmark(the global superpower); allied with Germany and Britain. There's Tibet(allied with Jerusalem). There's Brazil(allied with Nigeria and the Sahara). There's also Japan(allied with China and Russia). Britain has global reach, but also has an alliance with Germany and Denmark. Nigeria has recently destroyed Abyssinia, and is allied with Brazil and the Sahara.

These are the healthiest positions.

Others, such as Russia and the USSR, are in disrepair.

Right. Well, if allowed, I'd probably end up taking Japan and making it an original nation if I could.

Because it's in the gaming thread? In my defence, I've been on a lot of websites that have went in on honest mistakes/questions/harmless actions. They go hard.

Don't take Nigeria or Sahara please. :)

Uh . . . okay? I was going to grab Japan and post my original nation. Assuming I'm good to create it, would you or anyone else have a current map so that I don't make toe-stepping-on claims? ( :

You would just be taking control of the Japanese NPC.

So I can't go original with it then? Doesn't seem to make sense. It's as easy as importing my nation, or typing up a new one in seconds. Still, even if I end up taking it over, I haven't a map to go by. Kind of what I'd been asking for.

Because, there is a history to the nation. If this was the first turn, sure, you could probably join as an NPC and change it. But at pretty much the end of the IOT, joining, and completely changing the nation? Most frown on that. And plus, there is a map pretty much a page or two back.

Couple pages? Cool. Lemme look it over then. Er, changing the nation wasn't a big deal. Finding the map for the nation I'm probably taking-over is the big deal. Not being rude, or an arse, but it would've made more sense if you answered my map question first. Logic. 'Cause whether or not I'm allowed to change the nation, I'd still be playing it. And without a map to make claims and use as a guide and all that jazz, I'd end up playing a pretty suckish Japan.

I'll be glad to have a PC ally again. :)

Oh, by the way, I'm China (or Ahasira for those who can be bothered learning the name :p). Welcome to IOT!
