Spaceship -disappears-

Don't think I've seen this reported elsewhere -

The last module I was to finish on the spaceship was the 'interplanetary lounge" (or whatever) -- after wait several turns past that when it was to be completed, I began to wonder why I never got the final screen to pop-up so I could use the "launch" button. Clicking the "S" circle on the info box in the bottom left of the screen gave me --- nothing.

The game did nothing. No crash, just paused momentarily and then continued. The other circles initiate diplomacy, etc. just like they are supposed to. Did a restart, and reloaded the saved game, got the same response.

I will try to reload a game several turns back and see what I get but, frankly, as this is one of the endames of the whole process, it's pretty lousy that it is not working.

Any others experience this? Any suggestions for a fix??

same here - just searched the forum a sloution to this problem but only thread I found was this one.

Cant offer any new information on that - Ashoka described it perfectly... - perhaps this thing: It is way before 1950 so way before 2050...

I've run into the same problem. In my case though, I put it down to "user error". I think that I unchecked the "Spaceship Victory" button when I started the game, but then forgot all about it. The game still allows you to build the spaceship, but then (crudely) prevents you from launching it.

Is it possible that you did the same thing? It would be easy to verify, if there were a way to examine the valid victory conditions for a game. I don't know how to do that, though.

oh man i just got my civilization to perfection until the same problem .Anyone know a way to fix it i want to launch so very bad i spent so long errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

ok i thought there was just an error in my game and thats why it did it to me so i started a new game well it did the same thing so im going to reinstall see what that does if it works ill let you guys know

I saw this happen when I had already won the game via Culture, but decided to continue playing the game.
