The Chinese have only nine cities, but I have been fighting them for ages and they never seem to run out of Cavalry and Cannons.
After a while, I just quit the game because it was getting so tedious.
Is this a bug, or am I just getting my butt kicked?
To elaborate, I have played hundreds of CIV IV games and I mostly win domination victories on Prince, but this game seems unusual. The Chinese declared on me and I was able to defeat their initial onslaught since I had infantry and the Chinese had knights and trebuchets. I counterattacked and was able to take five or six Chinese cities, but then another Chinese onslaught attacked my city- this time with tons of cavalry and cannons. After holding that off, I moved to attack another Chinese city, but it was defended by a stack of about 17 Cavs/cannons. And it kept getting reinforced by more and more cavs/cannons even though the Chinese were down to nine cities.
I know the AI cheats, but I'm falling behind in the game because this war is taking forever.
