I would like to encourage all(!) of our citizens to speak up in discussion threads. It makes no sense playing this game and staying quiete!

If you see an issue you like to discuss: POST IT!
If you see an issue you like to poll: POLL IT!

Most of our problems evolve because many of our citizens stay quiete on discussions. They wait several days if they ever post.
THIS IS WRONG!

Every single post counts. Not only for your postcount, but also for the game!
We need citizen input, and not only from the very vocal citizens, but also from YOU, the 10post citizens.

No question is too stupid, no idea too crazy!
SPEAK UP PEOPLE OF PHOENATICA!

As these discussions change YOUR country.

We will surely need ANY kind of input in the next game!

Yeah, you're letting Disorganizer, Shaitan, and Donsig have all the fun. ;)

I think we keep forgetting real life. Not everyone has enough free time and has high spreed connection and is on at all hours of the day (* looks at Shaitan*). ;)

There've always been a lot to read on these forums (not just the demogame). You can spend an hour on here, and 150 new messages show up in other forums.

Chieftess is right, I'd absolutely love to read every single post, poll and question that arrives at the forums, but I just can't :(
I started my 3rd semester in college last week and I already have six books to read, homework, essays and the sort. I'm gonna need sometime to organize myself (I'm not very good at it) plus I have to paint and work. I'll still continue to post as much as I can, I might just not read all the threads to the end :(

But this is a major problem. We have discussion and even come to a conclusive poll setup with no complains... then we post a poll, and everybody starts complaining and whining about the poll.
We discussed the rules for about a month? And nobody except 4 took part. Now people start complaining about the rules... See the problem?
I understand if time constrains hinder you from reading thru all posts. But some will be important to read. And reading them means reading the whole discussion chain. What happens here is that some people only read the latest post. But this may be false, as this post may be false. If someone does a false statement in a thread, others will tend to only read the last post an comply to it wheter it is really their will or not.

Yes, discussion takes time. Yes, democracy takes time.
If we dont take the time to do it, we cant complain about the result.

Speaking for myself, now is when I have had more time to look more closely at the rules and participate in its debates. During play, I am normally too busy keeping up to date with the progress of the game. Plus you know I am usually very hesitant to agree to too many changes mid-stream, unless they are necessary.

I don't assume everyone is interested in making and changing the rules. I know that is the least of my concerns while the game is on. There are also others who prefer to spend their time on the rules and thats great too. I don't expect everyone to be interested in everything.

I'm not sure how many people are complaining, disorganizer. The importancy of issues really varies by person to person. I wouldn't encourage complaining because it tends not to solve problems. I do encourage everyone to speak their mind, vote, and present ideas, if they have them.
