Spring Patch Info

I think if people keep asking they will drop it quick.
Ah, yes. Much like pressing the elevator button, when it is already lit up, will make the elevator come faster.

Yesterday they rolled back the QA build by 3 weeks, presumably due to problems that cropped up during that time. Releasing anything now would be a disaster. Be patient for the finished product.

Veeery patient
They just rolled it back again to March 28th.

If they continue like this we will soon be back to release version...:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

We know nothing for certain; it's just an educated guess.

Full disclosure: there's been nothing even remotely educated about my guesses.

Read back on past eagle pursuit replies.

Those, however, are much more likely to be educated.

Like this one. Although this is less a guess than a statement of fact, the reasons for which you can make your own guesses.

Once the elevator knows you're serious, it stops lollygagging.

They just did a qa update that wasn't a rollback. So, forward progress again.

For those that have been complaining and comparing Firaxis to Paradox...

Paradox just rolled back a LIVE PATCH for Stellaris because it was such a complete disaster. I'd rather that Firaxis QA catches their disaster +before+ it gets to us rather than after.

I dont think they rolled back the patch... they released a hotfix. They also allow you to pick any patch that has been released for that game. If you compare the the severity/absurdity of some of CIv6's bugs then I rank the game with something slightly better then Sword of the Stars 2. They act like a undermanned amateur studio rather then the mature open minded communicable studios that are out there.

A lot of the additions that are going to be included in this patch are a really good idea: Joint Wars needing a casus belli, being able to join existing wars, and more late game historic moments should've been included in the base game (or R&F for that last one). But man, I really hope that isn't all we're going to get on the balancing front of things. That England "buff" isn't even really a buff, all things considered, and it's disappointing that apparently Vicky & Seondeok are the only two Civs to get a balance touch-up (Seondeok was definitely in need of the nerf bat, though). What about low-tiers like Spain, Georgia, and France? For the love of god, make the chateau not just simply out classed by the pairidaeza in every conceivable fashion! And if the only general mechanics that are getting touched up are the social policies, governments, and Magnus' chop, then that will be sorely disappointing as well. Social policy & government tweaking is good, and sure, Magnus' chop needed to be nerfed. But production costs - particularly in the late game - are so out of whack from what your cities can reasonably produce, and in my opinion loyalty needs to be scaled ever so slightly, as it makes conquering cities beyond tedious. Sometimes I wonder if Firaxis even plays their game, because to me these balance changes are no-brainers that continue to be ignored.

They released a hotfix as a beta AND rolled back the patch as the live version to 2.0.2

The hotfix beta is 2.0.4, but the "official" version is back to being 2.0.2

What about low-tiers like Spain, Georgia, and France?

France was boosted in R&F by the improved usefulness of diplomatic visibility and the greater uses for Spies. Catherine's pretty good these days. More importantly, she's fun and relatively unique.

Spain could use a tweak to the way Conquistadors work, but they've been boosted, too, as it's now much easier to get a Religion, especially at higher levels, than it was pre-R&F. Philip's inability to consistently get a Religion was what really held him back before, and that's no longer the issue it used to be. EDIT: I forgot Spain's Missions were also boosted to provide Loyalty bonuses.
Georgia's issues aren't so much Georgia-related as they are meta-weaknesses in the game: the way walls work and the way the military system disfavours any unique unit that isn't on an upgrade path from warriors or chariots. I'd rather see those addressed before fiddling with Georgia's bonuses, but if they're not going to fix the bigger issues, then yes, Tamar could use some love.
