Spring Patch Info

Let's just have an evil civ total conversion mod. Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot, Leopold II, Vlad Tepesh, Stalin... could probably argue for Oliver Cromwell to be in there. Even some modern-ish ones like Robert Mugabe and Kim Il Sung.

Firaxis just tweeted this pic. Speculate away folks. :)

We have Dschingis Kahn in there. And several others who killed, plundered & raped their way through history. So, if someone really argues that Lionheart wouldn't be "politically correct", I would laugh at him.

Exactly, history should have no bias.

I didn't even think of Cromwell. I'd play a Cromwell version of England, but then my id is a land-based warmonger.

Any English leader should be before 1707 - after that the nation is called Great Britain (UK after 1810).

But what is the green stone on the side :scan:

Jokes aside, it irks me that faith is red and not white.

Barbarossa got the gold stone, faith stone, science stone, culture stone and the production stone. With one snap of his finger, he can wipe out half the city states and restore balance to a civ game. LOL.

Ah, I think I get it now.
There has been a pattern with Civ 6 updates.
A capitalist pig-dog tendency to only release new patches when they're selling new DLC.

Predictions:
New DLC incoming.
The patch is delayed either because there are problems with the patch, or problems with the new DLC.
Firaxis is going to tweet something France related soon.
Possibly also something Russia related.
Maybe something Rome related.
They'll announce a European alt-leader DLC pack soon and they'll release it and the patch at the same time.

Eh? I'm pretty sure England is still England.

The UK, Great Britain and the British Isles all still exist but refer to different things.

The British Isles is a geographical term describing the whole of the British Isles including the Republic of Ireland.

Great Britain, is the collective name for England, Scotland, Wales and all of their collective islands.

The United Kingdom ( The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to give it it's full name) Is the name given to the political union of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Whilst it is a sovereign state all of its constituents are countries in their own right.

Class dismissed. :D

Incoming hate from the Isle of Man

General rule change: Lighthouses and Markets on foreign continents all receive an additional +1 gold. This applies to all Civs, not just England, which would help encourage Civs to settle foreign continents more.

I know it eats up a valuable economic policy card slot, but Colonial Taxes already offers a financial incentive to settle on foreign continents.

It might be cool if you could block other Civs sending traders to you. If enough Civs joined in, then the target Civ might be stuck with just internal trade routes.

WC/UN allowed us to hit Civs with trade embargoes, so maybe we'll be able to do cripple a Civ's finances via diplomacy in the next expansion.
