[NFP] Standard vs Sparse Resources setting

Hello,

Has anyone played with ''sparse resources'' setting? Can't seem to find more info on roughly how much less resources map has, compared to standard setting.

Thinking that resource wars could be fun but at the same time I'm hesitant because I'm not sure if it will mess up game balance.

Your experiences?

AI armies become less effective. Player can figure out ways to monopolize strategic resources, the AI has more trouble.

Becomes a common sight to see AI armies composed of warriors well into the medieval period(can’t find iron). You see a lot more anti-cavalry, too, a whole lotta pikemen.

I'll skip it then, although I wanted to try it to make conquests more important. But messing up game balance is not what I want to do.
