Way out there...
Several people asked me to post the interface of the Star Trek mod separately so it could be used for a regular game as well. You can find it here, ready to be assimilated in any SciFi mod you may come up with... :borg:

I made it into a separate scenario rather than as a set of files to replace the original C3C ones as I had to edit scripts.txt to avoid regular texts to run over the ones in the figures. But I didn't always succeed in finding the right text to delete in the scripts, so there will still be a couple around.
Please keep in mind that this interface was never intended tobe stand-alone, so in a regular civ game there might still be a couple of errors that don't occur in the Star Trek mod, such as the lines in the tech tree that are off. Maybe in a later date I will correct this.

I included two versions of the cityscreen, one is a bit more crowded than the other. Both of them should work fine.

Known bugs (no idea how to fix them):

* In the cityscreen the area around the population heads tends to become black when you manage the city squares.
* Some annoying lines remain in the interface buttons and on the right side of the civilopedia.

I included some screenshots in the end of this post to give you an idea.

EDIT: found a small error in the civilopedia. I put the corrected files in the attachments.

Thanks... Kind of ashamed, but I don't know what MOO is... :)

MOO = "Master of Orion", a Civ-like sci-fi turn-based strategy game :)

There were 3 versions. The original, the best and the worst.
The first two were done by Microprose, the last one by Quicksilver. They took some steps and changed much of what made many of the original two HUGE sellers and for the most part ruined it.
The Master of Orion 2, for example, still out sells Master of Orion 3 at Fry's. And MOO2 sells for 50% more as well (15. vs 10). There are some who liked Moo3 quite alot, but the amount of people who did are only the smallest fraction of those who loved the first two.
If you've never tried MOO2, it is well worth the 15 bucks to try one of the greatest games of all time. (no kidding).

It is by far the oldest game I still play on a semi-regular basis.
I also have Moo3, but I am in the group of people that want to hunt down Quicksilver and forcefeed them the CD for what they did to my favorite game.

Oh ic... :) I was thinking about a cow! :rotfl:
If it's as great as you say it is, perhaps I should try it. I really never heard of it.

I like it. I'm gonna see how it works with "regular" civ III.

Please let me know how it works...

I got a couple of requests to include the city screen buttons for drafting and hurry prodcution, so here they are...

The interface download is in the first post. The download in post 12 is just replacement of the city management button. So you need both zips...

After the fan modified patches for Moo3, I have left that group and grown to enjoy it more than Moo2. Blasphemy? maybe, but it is a lot better since it's been fixed by fans. And since I'm one of those idiot who paid $50 for it, I'm not just tossing it away, especially since fans continue to patch it up. In fact I played it last month after the topics for it came up to make a mod.

De rien... c'est fait avec plasir....:)
