Ive started the tech tree, and id say im about a 1/4 to a 1/3 of the way through it. Posted is what i have so far. I could use some suggestions for improvemnts, additions and any changes that could or should be made.

I could help with the civlopedia text, by the way. I own the DS9 and TNG companions on disc (that means I have all scripts, movie trailers) and the DS9 companion in book form.

Completed the list of techs, again post any suggestions on improvements. Ive jsut got to work in the units and buildings, and prerequisites into the tech tree now.

Also, has anyone made a list of ground units yet, like marines and defensive batteries?

Hmm, with Antimatter refining at the beginning of the tech tree, the antimatter reactor has to be there too, but the fusion reactorwould be lower tech....either we need new names for our power plants or change the techs...I would prefer renaming powerplants. So fusion reactor could be antimatter reactor, but the second one? Any ideas?

Perhaps not using a tech like antimatter or fusion it could be more generic, sort of like "Shipyard Reactor" or "Planetary Reserves". Otherwise i dont think theres another source of fuel in the ST universe that compares to fusion or anitmatter, as a later advance(except Omega Molecules). Possibly a Dilithium power plant?

Like the different borders cornmaster,Nice job. i think theyre fine as they are. I dont see how they could be made any more trek like though.

@Cornmaster:
The borders look nice, a little in-game screenshot:

I think you never posted your wonders list, with 2 civ specific, please do... :) as well as the untis list, with eras added...just got the old ones...

I still need a english labels.txt ....

I started working on building graphics...first one: Iconian Gate

I used a photo i found with google, just because I think it looks better to use pictures, instead of "civ-style" buildings. And it's less work...

One thing: Should we increase use of armies? We could set a city improvement to enable building of armies, instead of a small wonder. That would make sense, as in War usually larger fleets fight each other, not single ships. And in that case we could set for all units the "army" flag, so building ships is just possible, if you got a Spacedock.

That's a great idea, I like it. How about the bigger ships (more powerful) ie. Exelsior, Galaxy, Nebula, Sovereign, etc., and maybe ships like the Intrepid class should have that attribute, but ships like the Defiant and Akira definitely shouldn't.

This is all the work ive got so far except for teh Races list which i havent done anything to since you last saw it. It includes the Buildings, Units, Wonders and the labels.txt.

Ive also included the lastet list of technologies, which now has all the units buildings and Great and Small Wonders as well. all it needs is the prerequisites and the civilopedias.

If we still need a few more great wonders, we could probably take bajoran, dominion ones, since they dont seem to hav enough ships for an epic scenario. But just include thier wonders in smaller scenarios.

What other scenarios are we going to do? Should i start smaller tech trees for those? Like a small single era tech tree, for the 50year Undiscovered country scenario somone suggested?

As for increased use of fleets, ive put small wonders that build leaders and increase army size fairly early into the game to increase use of fleets. there is also an "orbital shipyard" which could be required to build all of the latest starships. so if bombardment destroyes your shipyard, you're in a whole lot of trouble :mischief:

I like the new borders on the space terrain :goodjob: , is it possible to see a screenshot of perhaps a couple of romulan and federation ships, maybe see how it looks in space?

Unfortunaly you can't set units to require a specific building, so either armies require a small wonder (in that case you can build every ship everywhere) or a city improvement, but using a small wonder and a city improvement is senseless, as the wonder would be worthless...I wish firaxis would add a "require building" flag to units :(

Tnx for the labels.txt, just a few labels are messed up...which version do you use? I got 1.12 (german)...I think I just put it on a second computer in english and get the labels my self ;)

as for the screenshot, here it is:

First I noticed in your tech tree is you set "Fleet Training" as prerequisite for "Legend of Kahless" which is a klingon-only wonder, but fleet training is a custom tech. So everbody would be able to build the wonder. Civ specific buildings need a civ-specific tech as prerequisite

Thats one thing i forgot to put in, my idea was that each civ would start with a non- tradable tech, this would give them their style of government, "legend of Kahless" comes with fleet training but will also require teh klingon government, i tihnk that should be able to work. that will be the same with all other civ-specific buildings and such.
