Well, then I'll continue working loyally on the maps, and when I get finished I'll PM them to you, Flamand. You know where the Ferengi are suppose to be? I've got the Encyclopedia by Michael & Denise Okuda telling me nothing except the locations in the Star Charts by Geoffrey Mandel, are wrong.

And about the lack of excitement about this mod, a release of a couple of units might keep us silent until work resumes...:mischief:
 
Locations are always difficult in Trek. As the Mandel is the only semi-canon reference I know of,I used it...

And about the units: gimme a proposal and I'll think about it...

Here and after I make more files...

Borg started, but not tested; I'll make some more then test them. As of now, however, my computer isn't working perfectly. I'll give you some stats:

Klingon:
Main art files: 100%; complete!
Interface: 98%. The unit command buttons are the only thing left.
Advisors: Screens, buttons: 100% (Culture, Science, all of them, including buttons and extras). Heads: 0% (I'd like a few files/pics to work with here...)
Misc buttons and dropdown menus: 50%, maybe more.
All others are 0%.
Overall Status: ~65%
All Klingon files have been Tested!!! Upload soon if flamand agrees.

Borg: Popups, load bar, and one screen done.
Overall Status: ~6%

Romulan: none (yet)
Overall Status: 0%

Federation, including Flamand's files: 100% all done, few files pop up that need to be trekified, but it's done.
 
Hej there...i'm playing the mod now again (great!), but i still have those crashes while taking another civ(else as Feds) at the 12player-map (no crashes at the 9p map)...
reinstall...etc. doesn't help...i would really like to play it...so, is there a sollution now (i'm not the first one...i guess)?

Hi Linie, welcome to Civfanatics... ;)

I did not make those maps, so I can't really help you with that. I suggest you thy the large map, which has been playtested extensively...

@Linie: do you get any messages when it crashes? At what moment in the game does it crash?
 
I'm sort of getting back into civ3. I'm currently playing a game of the Warhammer mod. I was just wondering are you still using the few borg units I made many moons ago or have you moved on to something better?
Also, if you've got something where the borg are playable I'd be willing to give it a try....

I hope you downloaded a copy of the borg diamond I made (what was it three years ago?). The reason being that the only online copy I had linked/posted at that time was deleted/removed a long long time ago when I had to cancel that website.
 
Hi Tzar, long time no see... ;)

The mod includes the units you made, but the diamond never made it in because it had no death animation. I'll need to check my computer if I still have it somewhere.
This version of the mod is playable as the Borg, but was mainly intended for the Alpha Quadrant races. With a little bit of map tweaking you can make it more Borg friendly... :)

I searched my computer, but the diamond is no longer there. Must have gotten lost in the crash I had a while ago... Sorry I can't help out.. :(
 
Here is a sampling of the Klingon interface. I'll be gone for two weeks starting tomorow, so if you all can wait until then, I'll post more. :)

PS: I know there are a few problems with some things there, but It was just tested last weekend and I haven't the to fix it right now.

It's no biggie. I was just looking through my previous posts and saw that I did a diamond for the Borg and that the download link was dead. Which I knew it would be dead because I had to get rid of that web page. Really all I was trying to do was save you some time on making another one from scratch...

I'll see if I can get everything downloaded and give it a whirl sometime in the not to distant future.... :D
