Here are some more unit ideas & their upgrades listed from left to right: :D
  1. Republic Soldier - Jedi Guardian - Jedi Weapons Master ( Blue lightsabers )
  2. Republic Scout - Jedi Sentinel - Jedi Watchman ( Yellow lightsaber )
  3. Republic Scoundrel - Jedi Consular - Jedi Master ( Green lightsaber )

Dark Side Units.....
  1. Imperial Trooper - Sith Guardian - Sith Marauder ( Red lightsaber )
  2. Imperial Scout - Sith Sentinel - Sith Assassin ( Red lightsaber )
  3. Imperial Scoundrel - Sith Consular - Sith Lord ( Red lightsaber )

IMO, I believe it would be good to create 1, maybe 2, Jedi figures. Jedi Knight, and maybe some sort of Sith. I came up with this while doing the UU's. I have the Jedi Master UU associated with the Ancient Old Republic and with the New Republic. My idea was that this UU would take the place of the Jedi Knight all the other civs use. Also, what you are suggesting would create a HUGE amount of lightsaber weilders, who would be percieved as Force-sensitives. I see you are having fun with the ranks form KOTOR 2, but a person could not join the Republic Defence Force as a ground trooper and then "advance" to become a Jedi. Sorry, didn't happen. The Jedi were an order unto them selves (Jedi Order, wow...), not an elite rank within the Defence Force. Just my thoughts on this issue.

Unfortuanantly, we do not have a Hutt civ at the moment. Also, the Voxyn were only created t hunt Force-users (ie. Jedi). Thus, they would be useless against anything but Jedi Masters and Jedi Knights or whatever else we put in here like that. The Noghri were body guards, not many of them actually fought in battle. I still don't think many people will recognize the E-wing, but I know that the B-wing was one of the main craft used by the New Republic, second only to the XJ X-wing.

NEW_Rome

We have a hutt civ.
Soon I will post my plans for the force users. I think it will be an interesting system but I'll need your guys approval. Keep Watching!

I like the Voxyn idea. A lot.

I dunno what Shadowtroopers are, never heard of them in any of the books I've read:-x

The Super-class Star Destroyer and the Executor-class Star Destroyer are the same thing. Unfortunately, the Imperial Remnant really does not have a seperate capital ship that the original Galactic Empire didn't use. Hence repeating the SSD since it's the most devastating (when used correctly) captial ship any Imperial force has ever used - short of the Eclipse, which is basically a superweapon lol

The E-wing is more typical of the New Republic than the B-wing. Luke even flies an E-wing in several novels, whereas I don't remember many B-wing flights outside the X-wing novels and Admiral Ackbar in Children of the Jedi, I think it was - either way, he crashed due to sabotage. Wait, now that I think about it, Luke flew a B-wing once - in Planet of Twilight;) It just happened to see its glory days in the closing days around the Battle of Endor.

Oops, sorry about the Hutt thing. I hadn't come up with anything for them, so I kind of forgot they existed. Ok, Shadowtroopers are seen in Jedi Knights 2: Jedi Outcast. Here is a link to the article about them on Wookipedia. I find them to them to be quite cool. This would also give the Empire a Force-user.

New_Rome....very good points you make. I guess what I was trying to say was that I also believe that some ordinary Republic or Imperial soldier would have no chance to become a Jedi. Only an elite commando unit with lots of promotions. Ahh...maybe you're right...not that sensible upon further reflection. One thing you certainly don't want to end up with is a Star Wars Galaxies situation where there are too many Jedi.

if jedi could appear as great people that would be good. then you face the choice of build military or build build building that increase your chance of jedi.

Jedi System:

A Tech will allow a unit called Sensetive. This unit does not have special abilities. From there it changes:
Once you get a religion, you can upgrade that unit. The first upgrades are as follows:
Light Side: Jedi Padawan
Dark Side: Sith Acolyte
The True Way: (Need a name)
Potentium: (Need a Name)
Non Believer: Don't get jedi, but get lots of other awesome bonuses and units that makes up for it.

I'll use the Light Side as an example.
Padawan upgrades to Knight
Knight can upgrade to a prestige class Jedi Guardian, Jedi Sentinel, Jedi Consular.
From there they can upgrade to Jedi Master
Finally they can upgrade to Jedi Grand Master Team Unit 1 allowed.

The upgraded forms of the sensitive cannot be built. They must be upgraded to. You can only build sensetives, and that takes a long time.

To upgraded it doesn't cost money but it costs experience points.

That is a VERY well thought out system. I was looking at gamefaqs.com & wondering if you think there is any need or place for some of those other cool force sensitives.
  1. Baron Do Sage
  2. Jal Shey
  3. Matukai

I was reading through some of the great resources available about Kotor 1 & 2 at gamefaqs.com. Another good place is kotor2.com. The chronicles are really cool to read. A possible Great Engineer could be Hoot Calin. He is the founder of Calin Industries, makers of droid plating. :)

So.... Do we want to remove Jedi Master as a UU for the Ancient Old Republic and the New Republic? If you see above, I was thinking they would be the only two Civ's that could get Jedi Masters, everyone else could just get to the third level (Sentinal, Guardian, Consular, Whatever the Sith ones are that I can't remember right now :P). I was certainly hoping for some sort of UU Jedi/Sith.

Follow Rabbit Alex's link; we now have space for the Star Wars mod.

If you'de like to see a fully working playable version of the mod, send me the UnitInfos.xml file and a list of buildings so I can bang it out already!

Just an FYI...

Real nLife has called my name for awhile, and it doesn't look like it will change for a couple of months. I'll help out as I can, but I can't spend a whole lot of time on stuff right now.

Sorry :(

I'm in the same situation senwiz. I told Civmansam I wouldn't be able to help out much the other day. Best of luck to you! :)

If you guys need help tweaking Leaders let me know. I'm starting to enjoy it, eh Shqype? ;)

Civmansam - Did you get my last PM? I don't want to retweak the leaders that you already tweaked. If they're all vanilla cut/paste then I'll rip them apart and make them more realistic.
