Hey guys, I would very much like to edit the space race victory condition for this mod, but I can't figure out what ties the space race graphics to the buildings. Is it the names of the files? There doesn't seem to be anything linking them in the pediaicons... I'm also having trouble finding anything about editing the space race on the forums.

Any help is greatly appreciated :)

nevermind, I finally saw the "Spaceship Part" dialog in the editor. My bad. :blush:

c) SpaceShip folder: Use and change the graphics you like, use the SHIPbackground graphics as the base for your 'space race' victory

I can not for the life of me figure out why I can't add a working Army unit. I swear the one I added is identical to the base game army and I can't even activate it in-game because it has "0" movement points for some reason. Does anyone know why this is happening to me?

Is the Republic Class Destroyer supposed to take longer to autoproduce than the MC90? It's stats are lower across the board (18.17.3 vs 19.18.4)

Indeed; I noticed that recently. :o The next update, (which is coming very soon I promise) will switch the MC90 and Republic classes around in the tech progression. It's a rather large update, and it also adds Heroes. At least 2 of them, anyway.
 
One more "feature" I noticed was that due to to the close proximity of some planets, you can occasionally build Environmental Control on a non-ecumenopolis. If this is intended then it works just fine, but it was a little confusing at first.

EDIT: This also applies to any other building that requires resources within range of the city, such as Jedi Temples.

Yeah that's a pain to get right, and not intended. I'll go back and look at the ecumenopoleis.

The core worlds are especially a little b**** to get right because the planets are so close together. I'll have to do some planet-moving.

e: I moved Anaxes, Shawken, Brentaal, Tython, Ord Ibanna, and Xagobah: the most egregious offenders. If you find another planet with this problem let me know.

I hate to suggest something that will be a lot of work for potentially very little payoff, but have you considered making the map bigger? The maximum size a ("square") map can be is 362x362. That would pretty much eliminate the need to have planets that close (I think.)

Oh indeed, that's a far-off goal of mine to do, but it was far easier to simply move some planets a tile to the side to fix this particular problem.

When I do get around to making a larger map, I'll also be adding far more planets.

  • added uninhabited planets to make the map more interesting
  • added map labels, and more interesting things to the map such as stellar voids

  • new leaderhead flags for the minor factions
  • adding new custom diplomacy text. Now it feels like you're actually speaking with Thrawn for example

all of this is taking a little time, but expect it promptly as I unexpectedly have a ton of time this semester and am using it wisely. ;)

the only thing I didn't get finished for this update is the diplomacy text, which is unexpectedly proving to be a ton of work. That's for the next update!

I've downloaded and played with the "New Republic"... and lost in less than 20 turns. The "Imperial Remnants" and the "New order" easily wiped out my only 2 cruisers with a flood of Star Destroyers, then proceed to take over my planets, crushing the Nebulon Bs I had left. It is impossible to survive with this faction...

Gotcha; I'm eyes deep in another update that's coming out soon, so I'll also include a buff for the New Republic. Thanks for the heads-up!

Found a bug! "art\civilopedia\icons\races\hapessmall.pcx" is missing; triggered it when I went to the tribes category.

I like the Spotify playlist; do you plan on adding any music to the game itself?

You're in luck, I literally just added all the music to the mod itself last night. I was getting tired of opening Spotify every time I wanted to play.

The update also includes a couple of bug-fixes including a fix for the one you pointed out, thanks a bunch.
