Mesh scale is not related to unit scale. The venerator mesh I have mostly ready to animate is detailed enough so I could make it any scale. I could take the same 1million polygons and make a 100x100 unit and a 240x240 unit.BlackHand said:The scale looks just about right, although we'll have to see it alongside a Venator for a good comparison. That's probably why your units are top-notch, though. I agree with the scaling to battleships/carriers in game, and that's kinda what I've done already with my Providence I'm trying to hammer out. And with that scale in mind, I still think that the frigate here is a good scale. Just my two cents.
When you do the attack animation, the ship should rotate to its side when it attacks (like the Civ3 Battleship), because almost all of the guns on the Providence Destroyer are on the sides.
