Star Wars: The Mod - Unit requests

I downloaded an extremely detailed Headhunter, and I gave up on it, for loading times. Animating them should be pretty easy, though, especially the headhunter. The X-Wing will need to have a skeleton, though.

@Bjornlo: Glad you like it. I am about to export a preview of one with a civ-colored cockpit ball.

I think a horizontal one would look cooler... wrapping from the outrigger posts around the port hole in the front.

sort of like --(--o--)--
where the -- and the 0 are blue. Sorry for the crude ascii art, my paint programs are on the HD raid that died.
Maybe 3 pixels wide would look good, with a 1-2 pixels wide as it goes around port hole

By making the line go around, rather then through, the port hole, it would serve to emphize it, and add a nice artistic touch.
But just some thoughts to play around with. I think the blue globe could stay all blue too... Alternately, make the globe a lighter shade of blue, as this would still leave the unit civ colored.
If you look at a CIV palette you will see there is a range of possible colors.
Using these different shades gives you parts of a unit with lighter and darker civ colors.

Yeah I am going to do a lighter civ color on the ball, but I don't think I am going to do the stripe. Sorry! I am making the top wing's tip colored, and the viewport is going to be Colored as well, since it is transparent anyway and won't really matter.

How are you guys doing Star Fighters and spaceships? are they air or naval units. The reason I'm asking is that doing nothing but FF stuff 24/7 gets kind of boring and I happen to be a long-time Star Wars fan (I also happen to own X-Wing collectors CD, TIE Fighter Collectors CD and SWGB) and might slip a Star fighter or two in between FF mod units and other projects. The first I'd do would be the Z-95 Headhunter (if you need it, that is). It would only take a couple of days to model, animate and render them in Bryce.
