Starting Locations for Custom Maps Not Working

I finally figured out to to get custom maps and modpacks to work on my Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.5

The Mod of Ice and Fire is working perfectly, even the starting locations.

I downloaded a few Europe maps but I can't get the true start locations to work on these maps.

I made sure the check the box for "load scenario" but I'm still getting random start locations.

Anyone have any idea what's going on?

Assuming the mods don't rely on custom DLLs, which wouldn't work on your Mac, I don't think they should behave any differently from a PC installation. Have you checked for reports of problems in the mod support forums?

That might be it for one of the maps. I'll try some other maps and see if I get the same result. BTW thank you AlanH, I would have never been able to get any mods or maps working without your advice in other threads.
