Statecraft and Duplicity

The Exalted also suggests that we name the river that flows east of our city the Ishaq, in honor of our Glorious Chief of the Arabs.
Would it not be in our best interests to honor the spirits and gods we have followed, most notably Allah? If we name our river after a Chief, we might be hit by divine punishment! Unless the Chief is elevated to godhood after his passing from the mortal world.

The gods are beyond and above the mundane realities of the world. It would be innapropriate to name a small river after one of the great divinities when surely their elavation comes through the faith of their followers. The truest honour we can give the gods is to convert the heathens to the true way so that all the world for everlasting time sings the praises of heaven and bows in eternal adoration of the gods.

While this may be true, this river will be the base for many great things to come, including spreading the words of our Lords out across the land! We must name it after the Gods, they will be honoured if we name the start of greatness after them!
OOC: I have a feeling we're getting a schism early on in the game...
OOC2: Is it possible for everyone to marry?

OOC: now now Civ'ed we don't want a schism, especially when working together would mean that our unified religion would have absolutely no internal competition for souls thus making it that much more effective.

Also it is indeed possible for you to marry, all you need to do is find a wife willing to marry one such as yourself

IC: Be that as it may, it is up to the chief to decide this matter, which I believe he has by allocating the name Shat Al Arab to the river. Perhaps a future leader can rename the river should the name not catch on.

OOC: you must take an action to search for a wife. Wifes don't just come running to ones door... unless your a filthy rich monarch ofc :p

ooc: Gosh now I need to decide.... I'll set a different price for each tile. Which do you want? Nobody has any money anyway, so.....

Tiles
Every time a there is a new politician, he will receive a tile. The tile he will receive is the tile where the new citizen was placed in-game. When a government is formed this ends, and tiles can only be gotten through sale or gifts. The Players can buy/sell tiles among each other, each putting the price and negotiating. When a player can not pay the government’s taxes or owes money, a tile(s) can be taken. Tiles increase the influence you have, and the money you gain.
I can't sell tiles atm, I thought.

ooc:
Remember though that the in-game religions are broad, and could contain many sects. Also remember that the religions don’t necessarily have to be the same as in our world. For example, many people in our world (mistakenly) believe that Islam is a militant religion. In this world, why couldn’t Christianity be seen as the militant one?
By the logic that Islam is militant, so is Christianity, RL. It's mostly because of early Arabian conquests.. by that logic, Christianity is also militant by the way of the Crusades.

ooc: I did. I was confirming. Please don't hurt me :eek2:
