The crimes of the Swedish diplomates include: plotting against Russia, espionage, plots against the tsar and the state, fraud, stolen money, sabotage.

That's alot of crimes.

They will receive a fair trial in Russia, just like they would have in Sweden.

Russia's reluctance to extradite them makes sense - what's stopping Sweden from aquitting them once they're in their territory?

They will be tried in Russia. The punishment may take place in Sweden, that is debatable. Any other objections from your side are seen as irrelevent. The trial will begin within a week, we ask you to send your lawyers.

May I remind both parties that Russian troops or police of any sort entering the Swedish embassy is a gross violation of Swedish sovreignty, seeing as an embassy is part of a nation's sovreign territory. The arrest of Swedish diplomats on Swedish territory, without substantial evidence, is, as we said before, a gross violation of Swedish sovreignty, as well as international law. While we will continue our non-agression pacts with both nations, we will also monitor the actions of Russia and Sweden with increased vigilance. We will offer Vienna as a neutral ground for a trial.

The same was as Russian ships are Russian property, and seizing Russian ships is a violation of Russian sovereignty. These people are charged of serious crimes against Russian Empire and we want to see them punished. If Austria knows any other way to punish them, please advise us, but sending them to Sweden will only earn them a heroe's welcome at home and nothing more.

Indeed the seizure of Russian ships is an act of war, but that has not happened as of yet. Why are we involving ourselves in this? Because we know these diplomats will not have a fair trial in either Sweden or Russia, so we as a neutral country are offering the use of our court system for a fair trial. We are not looking out for the interests of Sweden or Russia, but for these diplomats who are accused of a crime, which there seems to be a substantial lack of evidence for. And please do try to watch your tone, the same goes for Sweden. We are civilized nations and we should act as so.

As soon as Sweden ends the theats to seize Russian ships we will turn over the diplomats to Austrian courts and will send the prosecution with evidence. These crimes have been committed for a long time, but Russia chose to close its eyes prior to now. If Sweden continues the threats we will hold the trial in Russia seeing how the diplomats will be citizens of an enemy state.

Such a threat, that of siezing Russian ships, ended when the embassy personell were returned, I thought I made that clear. I also thought that I had made clear that your embassy personell and diplomats were sent to France without any issue, though you still sent troops to your embassy to defend them.(?)
