Steph strikes again: Ancient units conversion collection

Oh! Well that explains it. And that also means units_32.pcx aren't really that important, then. Anyhow, thanks for double-checking, Steph. :)
Well, you still have the units 32 popping up at the bottom of the city (where you see what units you already have), and in the F3 screen, having the wrong units 32 icon is confusing...

Garduk! Not much I can do about this, then, seeing how I can't make a units_32.pcx. In some alternate ideal universe, I suppose I could, but not in the real world as presently constituted! ;)

How to make a unit32:
- Open an existing unit32 with empty spots. Save the palette
- Export the default.flc with flicster
- Open the pcx. Select the first frame, and make a new image from it.
- Resize it to 32x32
- Apply the saved palette to the resize image
- Copy the image
- Paste it in an empty spot of the unit32.

Open the unit in flicster or c3fe. Make sure you see it with magenta background, not shadow/grey. Choose red civ colour and hit Print Scrn. Open your image editing program, make a new image, hit ctrl+v to paste the image. Crop the uninteresting bits.
- Resize it to 32x32
- Apply the saved palette to the resize image
- Copy the image
- Paste it in an empty spot of the unit32.
This is important to get correct civ colour in the game, seeing how most units are made with blue civ colour.

Heck, you two guys could make a wee little tutorial on this! Thanks for the tips. I may actually use them...

I stand corrected. As for my mod I don't really need civ colours, I didn't take that into account

I did not bother following the tutorial on how to make units_32.pcx's.

I just did up my own in my own crappy way. In case anyone would like to use them, here they are so far: (I will make more as I need them)

-- Peasant
-- Gish Battle Cart
-- Assyrian Spearman
-- Massarti Spearman
-- Assyrian Cavalry

(apparently I can only upload 5 per post, so on to the next post to finish up...)

(...continued...)

-- Tribal Warrior (Samnites)
-- Equites

Uhhhh... maybe... yeah... I did that, and then cut it up into the little pieces you see above... I'm dumb... Oh well...

Ahah! I am vindicated! ;)

Let's compare.

- I need one icon:
download full zip
open zip
extract the icon I need.

3 actions.

vs

download the icons

-> 2 more actions.

- I need 30 icons.

I need to make 30 donwloads

vs

download full zip
open zip
extract all icons.

-> 27 more actions.

Now, which is the most boring ?

So much for my vindication. I will do both, then:
