Steph strikes again: Ancient units conversion collection

For any of you who would like to see these units in their natural environment you can now buy them all direct from us at the Slitherine online shop http://www.slitherine.co.uk/ShopFront.htm. If you enjoyed these units then why not help to produce more by buying the game.

We ship worldwide as part of the price. Currently you can buy Legion, Chariots of War & Spartan from our site. Gates of Troy is released Friday and will only be available direct from us through our website - you will not see it in the shops!

Thanks for playing!

Just for your information:
Chariots of War : 12.49 £ (used) to 22.49 £ (new), excluding packaging and postage at Amazon UK, 19.99 £ at Slitherine Software (including packaging).
Legion : 9.99 £ (used) to 14.99 £ (new) at Amazon, 12.99 £ at Slitherine Software
Spartan : 29.99 £ at Amazon, same at Slitherine.

So my advice is to buy directly at Slitherine software :D.

And who knows, if you buy enough games and drop them a short message while ordering it, perhaps they will also agree for a conversion of Spartan units to civIII ;)

Hey Iain, in the new features page for Gates of Troy, under Heroes Building, you mentionned Leonidas King of Sparta. I hope these are heroes for the whole game, not just for Troy campaign. Because the King of Sparta is Menelas, not Leonidas. (Everybody knows Leonidas is the Belgian king of chocolate.

Yay!!!!!! I've waited so long for these dudes!!! :bounce:

Edit: no 'celtic cavalry' yet?

I've missed the celtic cavalry when I made the initial conversion. All other units are already done, they just need to be recentered with Flicster and tested.
I'll do the celtic cavalry last. But it won't take to long. I should finish all the others this week (only the tribal units are left), and do the celtic either this week or next week. But I also plan to finish the unit editor or SSS this week... Damn, if only there could be 48 hours in a day and 14 days in a week... But, there are, it's simple called a month ;)

When used as an army unit, the Roman standard bearers graphics make the unit look strange. Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

Leonidas was the Spartan king (there were always two at the same time) who sacrificed himself defending the narrow passage of the Thermopylae in front of the Persian advance.

I know Steph is pretty burdened with his conversion projects so I won't bother him with this request.

Has anyone attempted or would be willing to produce resized versions of these fellas? If we could just bulk them up a bit to be more in-line with the stock units it would fantastic. Any units of ANY civs available in this thread would be greatly appreciated.

Any takers?
