StKNES2: Rags to Riches, Tribes to Empires

Anyu chance would Kamilian allow anoter player to mod until you may be able to return to the duties.

Well, I would gladly allow hand the reins over to someone else.
But I kinda do have reservations about that:

1. I don't think it can be someone who's already playing in this NES - it might be a bit biased toward their original nation. But who knows? Maybe a current player would have the integrity to not bias it in favor of their original nation.
2. A whole new thread would have to be started so that they could do the stats themselves, and transferring all the diplo an stuff can be a b***h but if someone's willing to do it, then they are welcome to do it.
3. I am also afraid - and you might laugh at this - that if I let someone take over then it will no longer me "StKNES2". I mean I'm not just talking about some minor rule changes or gradual big rule changes, but like a total overhaul of EVERYTHING. Like I don't want everything that I did completely undone and made into "St(insert replacement-MOD abbreviation)NES". I mean I know that this is kinda laughable, but you know.... I'm not against changing rules or making them simpler or whatever. But there is something unique in every person's moderating or rules or something, and I'm afraid that if someone else would take over, it would no longer be even remotely the same...
Of course I would allow someone to make changes - I'm not against changes - but as long as that someone at least has the courtesy to give me at least some credit and say something like "this is a continuation of StKNES2: Rags to Riches, Tribes to Empires - a NES begun by Kamilian1, who has turned it over to (so-and-so) for an undefined time period" or something like that. So that if someone new joins in they will know that I had a major contribution (or some kind of contribution) to the existence of the continuation, and so that I'm not completely forgotten.

lol I guess I have a fear of being forgotten as the creator of this particular NES...

Anyways, I guess if you can get someone to take over until I can come back into the updating "business" (for lack of a better word) or if one of the people playing in this NES up to this point can do the job without favoring their nation and who, even if they do a complete overhaul of the rules, does acknowledge my original participation and involvement (:D), then sure - let it continue.

Well if no one does take this over I would like to say that this is one of my favorite NES's ive played in. Ill be waiting till december when you come back in full force. Perhaps modern day sequel. But anyho I wanna thank Kamilian along with all the other Nations especially in eurape that were great competitors and allies. So untill i see Reopened from Kamilian thanks alot for a great time.
Cant wait to see the Awards.

:D

Also, if anyone does take over, then I would like to notify them that they don't HAVE to use all the population stats and update them constantly - I just did them as a guide for myself so that I could open up a lot of possible storylines in the post-Hun and post-Medieval and so on years. I always had all those numbers for a reason, ya kno ;)
So if anyone does take over, they don't have to keep updating them every turn, because I can vouch for the fact that it's a hassle. There have been quite a few times in which I was done with the whole update and then I realize I still gotta update all the population numbers and I'm like dying from tiredness and I'm just like *ugh!*
But the listing of ethnicities I have might really be useful for future reference (except for their locations cuz most of those locations in the parentheses I have not updated)...

The awards will be up tomorrow before noon (US Central Time Zone). Some categories will be by Nation and some will be by Player - depending the attributes.

Also, just for clarification: I AM NOT LEAVING NES!
Someone got that confused earlier, so I'm clarifying that I am simply going on moderating hiatus. I am remaining in JNES and Amirsan's NES and when Amenhotep7 starts his sequel to "Old Empires" I will join that. I may join other NESs if I have time but right now my priority NESs are: JNES, AMNES, and Amenhotep7's sequel when it starts (not necessarily in that order of priority).

AWARDS

1. Most Vengeful Player: alex994. Tried to get revenge on human_slaughter (Sicily) after his Libya was destroyed when he rejoined as Portugal and attempted an anti-Sicilian revolution that culminated in a civil war and ultimately failed.

2. Least-Active Player: naervod. He joined as Bosnia but never checked back in after he joined.

3. Player that is most determined to destroy alliances: alex994. As stated above - regarding Sicily. He was determined to destroy the Mediterranean Alliance from within when he joined as Alliance member Portugal and attempted a revolution.

4. Player that is most successful in maintaining alliances: human_slaughter. He was determined to keep his Alliance alive; faced the [initial] Icelandic threat to Vichy; turned on Portugal when the Republicans betrayed the government; even put aside differences with Iceland and joined Europe against the Huns. Succeeded in all cases.

5. Best alliance of all time: Mediterranean Alliance.

6. Largest Army at the end: China and Mongolia. (a tie)

7. Largest Navy at the end: Scandinavia.

8. Classic Riches to Rags nation: Libya - partitioned, with part of it becoming a puppet.

9. Classic Tribes to Empires nation: Nubians - I know they're barbarians, but I was making a story arc about them turning into a full nation and they were near half-way through this transition right now.

10. Nation with the largest overseas colony at the end: China. The collected amount of land from all of its Indonesian islands and its Australian colony rivals that of the sizeable Sicilian colony in Libya. Although, Japan's many islands (counting islands other than the main Japanese home islands), and its Eastern Siberia colony and Australia colony are a close tie to the Chinese colonial size.

11. Largest nation in the world at the end excluding colonial territory: Mongolia.

12. Largest nation in the world at the end including colonial territory: China.

13. Most politically unstable nation in the world: Portugal - the Spanish and French revolutions which created Spain and Vichy as independent; the Republican-vs.-Royalist civil war.

14. Nation with most nationalistic non-ruling ethnicities: China. The Mandarins threatened secession if the Yangtze of the west did not agree to create a federal state; their wish was granted with Mandarin autonomy. Now, Koreans demanded autonomy and got it from the Mandarins; Manchurians are also starting something.

15. Nation where the ruling ethnicity is overwhelmingly outnumbered by other ethnicites within its borders: Russia - the Russians are only 9,300 out of 63,900 people within the borders.

OK players can do their own awards now, and add any new categories they wish.

Ah, good, China won most land with colonies. Which was my every intention, to create a colonial China. I was plotting that even back when we were the tiny Yangtze Confederacy. :)

Shouldn't we have:

Best player (perhaps splitting it into sections of the game?):

Most Trade-based nation:

Best Warmonger:

Worst Warmonger:

Best Diplomat:

Once again, thanks for the great NES.

I got 2 awards! YEAH!!!!

Yeah I'll admit that I did the most obvious categories. I didn't really feel like going over the entire thread. So feel free to name the winners for those categories that I haven't listed, if you want.

oh NOW you come, warman.

GREAT timing, seriously. you got the best timing.

lol :p

so i guess noone's continuing this :scan:  :undecide: :gripe: :bounce: (i picked the last 2 smilies because just looked funny)

If I could, I'd try.
But my time is stretched to the breaking point these days, and I already have an NES about to open, which looks to be my most eagerly awaited one yet.

Sorry I was gone and I forgot to post, I hope me leaving didn't affect anything, I'll continue this if we can.

Crap, I didn't mean to post here X_x sorry.
