Stonehenge

I posted this in general discussions and have not received a satifactory answer. I am playing on Prince level as Napoleon on Normal speed. I have no civic improvements and no trade routes. I have come up with two questions.

1. I am getting 16 culture from Stonehenge. I should be only 8. I can't figure out why I am getting double the culture.

2. My research is at 16 per turn but it increases 25 per turn. I think this may be because of the difficulty level.

Maybe there is a strategy & tips article that addresses these issues, but I sure can't find it. Also, the manual and Civilopedia haven't helped.

I've noticed that too. Not sure why it gives 16 culture though. I was using Mckenzie King of the Canada mod.

It doubles after 1000 years, like in civ 3?
