It seems there's something a bit odd with generating a GA via Wonders...

I was playing Germany (Mil/Sci), and - in sequence -

(1) built SoZ (Mil/Rel)
(2) captured Mausoleum (Sea/Sci) - this didn't generate a GA
(3) built Leonardo's (Mil) and this did trigger the GA

I'd assumed that to trigger a GA the wonder had to built not captured, so the failure of step 2 to trigger it didn't surprise me, but why did building Leonardo's...?

I'm not complaining ;) , just a bit puzzled...

In order to trigger a GA you must build one while having a wonder(s) that matches your traits. Note- The wonder you build, can qualify for one or both of those traits.

Since you had Military covered(built SoZ), then captured Sci(Mausoleum), the next Wonder you built regardless of traits would trigger it.

whoa. Was it always like that? I thought it was just the wonder you built that had to match one or both of your civ traits...

You can see the same thing in the senguko conquests. since no one has any traits you just have to build any wonder to trigger a golden age.

I assume that each time you build a wonder the game checks to see if you fulfill the conditions.
