Strange open borders deal

Just got 71 gold from Elizabeth for open borders. the strange thing is that shes guarded towards me.

Anyone else had this before ?

yeah when they denounce you or get a negatif modifier that turn they are still friendly so you can still get a good deal if you never give them open borders they actualyl give more then usally have seen it before

If shes about to DOW me, bring it on. I could use her pop for more beakers.

Still, never saw a borders deal with more then 50 gold and i have 701 hours into this game.

Its happened to me before, but only on multiplayer. I had defeated several cities from a human player causing him to quit and made peace. He was guarded as well, but had borders next to me. He also gave me 71 gold for Open Borders.

haha, that is pretty cool. ive never gotten more than the standard 50 for OB.
