Strange question

My Mac's been down for a while, finally got the parts I needed to move the Beige G3 into an ATX case and install Jaguar onto her.

Is there any reason why the Editor will start up Outside of my Civ III folder, but immediately crash when I have it inside?

Most likely reason is if the version of Civ3 it finds inside the Civ3 folder is not a compatible version, whereas if you launch it outside the Civ3 folder it might open, but can't do anything.

The editor will only work with version 1.21 as far as I know, so if you have patched it to 1.29 the editor will probably crash.
