Now you have a granary in every city on the same continent (the effect of completing The Pyramids). Good work Olli! Don´t forget to expand.

the road to the silks is 2/3 complete.
not long for the great lighthouse or the oracle.

You are doing 9gpt surplus, have you tried to increase the research % (hit F1 to adjust).

the science is already 70% bit more increase and shrinking. i need some surplus because i'm going to switch to monarchy.
i have about 30 units now and after the revolution the allowed number would be about 20-30.
i have about 12 workers to build colonies,so im going to disband some of them after building the road to silks.
i'm still going to build a road from the silks to the indians for my super-fast riders.
(5 more techs until i get riders)

Hi Olli, check my signature for a cool strategy. It's really devised for catching up techwise in the higher levels, but I guess it's still useful at Warlord.

Olli,
My two cents. This game looks like it is going well. However, you need to keep expanding! Build more settlers and workers and grow your civ to the Indians. At some point, you will probably need to move your capital to a more central location on your continent.
To improve in level, you are going to need to learn not to be so wonder dependent. Ision wrote a great article about this. At higher levels, you will never build all these wonders, but you probably will have the pleasure of capturing them from the AI! Keep on with the game, it is interesting.

very nice game, oli
moving along nicely
remember the first rule... EXPAND
the indians wont come a-knocking too soon, i think, and youve got enough troops to guard your southern flank
so what do you do? keep a few troop pumps going (horse + spear for future upgrade?)
and since you now have only 12 cities... and all have graneries... pump atleast one settler out of each (on average) and settle to the south.
after that build some more workers (lets say for a total of 1.5-2 per city)
then move palace into a more central place (but you can delay that a bit)
your new south cities should be building mainly slower troops. barracks-spear-sword-spear-sword-spear?
and now, when them injuns are blocked and boxed - give them the heave ho
well, that was my 2 bit advice
BTW - im a regent-monarch warmonger. still trying for a non-domination victory...
i guess my war like tendancies keep interfering with my culture wins

not to throw water on your 3 wonders or anything but ...

(yes! congratulations on your wonders :) )

in the time you did that you could have made about 10 settlers for 10 brand new cities. can you even imagine the bragging rights you would have over all those cities at this early point in the game? this is why most seasoned players are fanatical over territorial expansion early on.

IMHO, territory expansion is more important than completing wonders at an early stage. sorry, that's just the way i see it. once the outlying cities have developed enough to be able to produce settlers for further expansion on their own, then i generally start building wonders. looking good so far though, nice one.

I've only really beaten the scenarios on chieftain. The only time I've beaten a regular game was the "Future Era Start" when I built a spaceship. If you have the Conquests pack, use the Hittites. Their 3-man Chariot rocks!

i have never expanded this much before middle ages.
that might have been my problem.
i'm going to send 3 settler+spearman galleys to explore the ocean.1 of them is ready.
i'm not going to build the great wall.too early GA.
i'm saving my golden age for sun tzu's art of war.

I'd change all those worker builds in size 1 cities to military units. You get support for them anyway. Wait until the cities grow a bit before you starting building workers in them. Also, if you haven't done it already, build a city to take in those silks, just in case the Indians do it first and steal them

Nobody said:
those settler gallys might sink. and 3 settlers is a big loss
i have the great lighthouse.
and a settler is heading to those silks.
(my patch is 1.07F.so it's safe on the ocean.)
