In the book "1984" (upon which this site is based), the name of the nation in which the main character lives is Oceania.

I think this site has been posted on this forum before, yet it is still incredibly funny.

In 1984, Oceania is a supernation comprising the English-speaking world plus South America. It controls all of the Americas, the UK, southern Africa and RL Oceania with its capital at London. The names makes sense because, unlike its rivals, Eurasia and Eastasia, Oceania is split into many parts by the oceans.
