Subforum for spoiler threads?

I noticed that with the COTM now in session, instead of sticking all active speculation, spoiler, and information threads, there's just been one "reference" thread for each stickied and the others have been allowed to float about aimlessly. So why not a subforum just for the active games, only the moderator can post new threads, and they get moved out into the main one when they go out of scope? There'd be a good dozen or so threads going at all times in there, but they'd all be right there, not floating about helter-skelter with other threads not particularly concerning an active game.

Well, the problem is that they are then in a subforum. The main forum would become pretty redundant.

As long as there aren't too many 'off-topic' threads in the forum, then I don't think its that hard to navigate. No worse than (say) looking for you teams' thread in the SGOTM sub forum. I'm quite happy with it the way that it is, but if there is overwhelming support for a change, then I'll try to sell it to TF. I don't particularly like the idea of the current threads being in a subforum though.

We got rid of the stickied threads because there was simply too many of them. Stickied threads tend to make the site look cluttered, so we wanted to reduce them.

Fair enough. I always thought the stickied threads helped keep things cleaner when it was just the one game though. A couple of other ideas then:

[Easy]Sticky the most recent thread for each active game. Right now that'd be COTM 02 - Spoiler 1 and GOTM 32 - Spoiler 3. In a day or 2 when GOTM33 Spec opens, that could also be stickied until GOTM 32 submission ends, and so on. One or two threads at a time, keeps the most relevant stuff stickied, and fairly clean.

[Harder]Two GOTM forums, one for Vanilla/PTW, one for Conquests. The discussion boards are split in this way, and it would kind of make more sense for the games in general: Except for one or two particular threads, they all apply to one game or the other. These two subforums, along with the 2 subforums already there, could all be classified under the single GOTM forum on the main page right now.
