Someone has leaked the civics and tech tree for Civ 6

Now under some tech and civic technologies, there is a green/white icon representing a unit. I also noticed that there are no such representations for nuclear weapons/units.

It also looks like there is a tile improvement for missile silo under rocketry and nuclear fission.

Does this mean that nuclear weapons are no longer glorified artillery?

Not sure I understand what you mean. In Civ V. Missiles were just...missiles (nuclear or otherwise). They weren't an artillery unit. They had no physical presence, just some one-shot effect fired from a city.

Are you talking about the late-game rocket artillery unit?

I only just found out that nukes could actually destroy (delete) cities. I only ever rarely used nukes (I almost always play pacifist games), and even then only used nukes on capital cities, cus I assumed it'd be the biggest hit to my enemies, but obviously capitals can't be deleted no nukes had little effect.

Then I used nukes to wipe out completely the Zulu Civ last night. After 2000 years of them constantly invading my lands with the most insanely OP unit in Civ; Impi Warriors, and building like 50 damn cities, I thought I'd have some divine vengeance after I ended up with about 50 uranium in my borders. Build a huge stockpile of nukes, made sure to spread them out so each missile hit at least 3 cities (easy to do with AI's ludicrously bad city planning). Within 2 turns he had just a capital city left, and half a map of fallout.

Felt good. Damn Impis

But yeh, after that pointless story (sorry), nukes certainly powerful.

Can't believe it took me so many years of never using them properly to realise it

I, for one, got a rush of glee from your tale! :goodjob:

It seems like nuke will be produced at Spaceport district (Rocketry tech). Maybe they require a missile silo building (also Rocketry tech) that can produce and stock nukes (Nuclear fission tech).
I think nukes will be stocked at nuclear subs (Telecommunications tech) and SAM missile battery (Guidance systems tech) as well.

Both of the icons, one at Nuclear Fission and one at Nuclear Fusion, are for projects, not units. I suspect there's a lot we haven't learned about nuclear warfare in Civ 6.

Those trees came out several months ago when various casters we given the opportunity to play 150 turns. The trees beyond Medieval (or Renaissance?) were meant to stay under NDA as they were incomplete. So need to be careful with interpretation and we don't yet know what the symbols are for.

Rocketry has the blue Spaceport district, a missile on a black background and missile on a tan background. More tan missiles at Nuclear Fission, Satellites and Nuclear Fusion. They are probably related to the Space Victory. There are two nuclear explosions at Nuclear Fission and Nuclear Fusion. They could be weapons/bombs or something else.

According to the legend for the tech tree that was recently seen, the black background is improvement so maybe a missile silo? The tan background with the pointed corners are Wonders--however, it looks like that has changed since those trees were recorded. In the old tree, all the Wonders are sharing the symbol with the buildings while in more recent playthroughs they are using that newer symbol. Maybe they are projects?
