Sucide Attempt at my School

Theres this guy in my school and he's those loser type kind of people.

Anyway he takes anti-depressents and that drug stuff. So he's not normal he's really werid. He has no friend he mutters to himself all the time. He acrs weird and he's always picked on by some people cuz he's weird.

Anyway yesterday 5th peroid according to my friend he comes into class and a short while later he asks if he can go outside. So he goes out and comes back in 45 seconds later saying "I'm so depressed, I have so much tension and stress that I shiver when I sleep at night, my life sucks, my cousins treat me like a ravanged dog and I want to end my life" so he says all that and he goes to a drawer and trys to open it saying "Where's that knife? Where's that knife? the teacher had to like grab him him and hold the drawer shut. Yeah so I heard all this from my friend.
He was'nt here at school today either I knew from before he had a mental problem and took anti-depressents and went to a shrink.
So messed up right?

Seems much more a cry for help than a true attempt at suicide. Or he would not have gone back to class and "not finding" the knife.

Doesn't mean it's not serious, though. Usually, real suicide attempts follow cry for help that goes unanswered.

Can't really say for India, but where I am people who want to kill themselves don't rant about it in the classroom, they just do it.
People who rant in the classroom, might have things troubling them and are in fact screaming for help.

I am deeply offended by 'gay loser type'. Gay and loser are in no way connected, please check your thinking and until you understand that, at least refrain from voicing that sort of prejudice.

Yes that's what I suspected. But help from what? I mean seriously like evryone knows he has a prob and he's already getting help and going to a physchatristic and taking anti-depressentens. SO really what more help does he want.

I'm guessing if he knew what he wants, he'd be going about getting it in a more productive way.
This way just says: Somebody please help me, I can't handle this, and I don't want to die yet!
Just because he's seeing a shrink doesn't mean it's doing enough and helping enough.
Hard to say anything from this far away. Not sure what you could / would do about it anyway.

Theres a Kannada saying for that I don;t recall coreectly. It goes something like putting ants in your pants.

Though I do suspect this sudden episode nhas smothing to do with the fact it is exam month.

It's not easy to get a gun in India you need a liscense paperwork and bribes.

not to worry, that kind of stuff only happens in america... and once in germany i think

in the rest of the world children have a hard time getting firearms

When I was at school in the 11th class a class mate returned to my parallel class. He had problems with his parents and was away for a few years. When he returned to his parents the problems were still the smae. I heard about his problems and I also spoke to him. But nevertheless a friday we should just write a class test in philosophy my classmates told me that he commited suicide with drugs. His father found him. We were all shocked... We did not write anything but discussed with nearly every teacher. There were signs but we were not able to think someone could do something like this. I mean in our class!
Be careful with him. He might commit suicide really. He might run amok. Or he just made a really bad joke. Nevertheless he has in all three cases big problems.

I'd say that's a really call for help rather than a real suicide attempt. in Finland like Mathilda said people don't talk about suicidal attempts in public.

My wife's brother commited suicide (by pills) I was the one who found
him in his truck behind some farm buildings at his parent's house .
Although he had been depressed, there were no real 'signs' he would do
something like that. It pisses me off that he would leave his kids
(in High School) and put them through dealing with something like that.
Since it is obvious that this person or what happens to them is at least
worth your thoughts, maybe you can go out of your way to make things
a little 'better' for him. Finding someone like that (dead) or seeing them do
it is a picture that will never leave you, and if you can help I'm sure you will.
