So, I've been using BTS for Windows on my computer for a while now. (I use a Windows partition on a Mac for Civilization IV and other games, if that's important.) My technical specs are far, far above the requirements, so I don't think they're the issue. More importantly, BTS has been running just fine for years on this computer.
However, just two days ago when I booted up BTS, the game was very, very slow--but only when looking on the map. In the menu screens or diplomacy or other screens, the game speed was just fine. I tried turning the graphics down as low as possible and booting up a Duel-size map, but the lag seems to be the same on all graphics intensities and map sizes (and with mature games as much as with new starts). My other games are working fine, but they're all fairly old and less graphics-intense than BTS.
Any ideas as to what the problem might be? I'm not sure whether it's internal to BTS or maybe a graphics card issue, just looking for some insight.
