Not sure if this is in the victory screen and I just haven't seen it, or if this has already been suggested and there's a reason for its absence, but would it be possible to include when the next World Congress somewhere? Sometimes 10 turns is a long while in real-time so I forget when it happened last...
Suggestion: Given that Arabia has become Saudi Arabia in modern times, Arab resurrection should no longer be able to flip cities outside of the Arabian Peninsula (It seems strange to see Saudi Arabia controlling Iraq and Jordan unless we add Hashemite Arabia)

Related: I know it's very low priority but it always strikes me that Arabia is the only middle east nation (that consistently respawns) to not receive a modern leaderhead. Egypt, Turkey, Persia, Pakistan, Ethiopia all do

I'm sure someone has suggested it before, but I think it would be neat for slaves + slave mines/plantations to be available to anyone running the slavery civic. I think it would add something fun to a lot of classical era civs, and Mali/Kongo.
Also another suggestion (that I may be missing in the game) is an option to turn off random Civ 4 events.
I'd happily trade not getting the free spice+plantation event in return for not getting the hurricane event, which always destroys my forges/harbors in my 2 pop cities that spent 30 turns building them.

FYI I believe turning off events breaks a few scripted things like trading company conquerors and the Reformation - sadly not a great option. But I would also love an option to disable the base civ4 events. I find them highly annoying.
There may already be a proposal to replace technology trade with technology transfer across open borders. I saw a similar mod component on this site a long time ago. Such a system seems much better.
That one is too troublesome because that requires callback

Also promotion woodsman I and II, gives us only a bonus to defense, which is not particularly useful, as the AI will prefer to just bypass the unit with such a pumping and not attack it, and bottlenecks with the forest is very rare) Can return the bonus to attack?
This request is long overdue but would you consider making roads unpillagible, if thats possible? It amounts to yet another piece of rope handed to the AI with which to hang themselves.
After ~12 years of playing, I have just realized that it feels somehow weird for colonies to start with more pop than new cities in the same continent as the capital. (Currently, it is <era> + 1 pop.)
Maybe we can have new colonies start out with ( <era>/3 + 1 ) population? Means that Ancient (0) - Medieval (2) colonies start with 1 pop, Renaissance (3) - Global (5) colonies start with 2, and Digital colonies with 3.
Alternatively, if more relaxed, it can be ( <era>/2 + 1 ) pop instead. Ancient and Classical colonies 1 pop, Medieval and Renaissance colonies 2 pop, Industrial and Global colonies 3 pop, Digital colonies 4 pop.
I don't know how feasible this is, but I think it would be good if during peace negotiations it is possible to force/request Open Borders without going down the vassalization route. I think this would help represent the behaviour of some powers -especially Americans re North African coast/barbary pirates, and the behaviour of the colonial powers' gunboat diplomacy and trade concessions/cantonments.
