Sullla's CIV IV AI Survivor Season 7 -Game 4 - Alternate Histories Posted!

Qin had such a good obvious second city that it makes since he won a high percentage. The odds of him messing up his opening was really low.

I remember looking at Qin's start and thinking how much fun it would be, what with four cities out of the gate flush with food and production. I had a few systemic flaws in my own tests (improper starting units, and omitting archery for barbarians), notably an extra worker instead of a scout that probably led me to overvalue Joao. Turns out an extra worker is game-changing and disadvantages low peace weight leaders, even though Joao did not have much to improve with it...

My sense would be for Alternate Histories to be folded back into the thread for their original game, but thank you for posting!

Looks like I was correct to make Qin my favourite, I even undervalued his odds (I had him as slightly more likely to win than Gilgamesh).
On the other hand, I overvalued Joao's chances to finish second as well.
My reasoning was that these were the only relevant civs, and that Qin and Gilgamesh were on a collision course. So in games that Qin won, Gilgamesh would be dead or dying, and vice-versa.
