The project wants to extend the original soundtrack of Civilization 5 by adding entirely new songs and better distribute the original CiV songs between the civs, to reduce the songs shared by more civilizations, and create something more unique and culture related. The cultural groups defined here are not accurate, and are based upon similarities, but being more numerous than firaxis ones, they ensure different soundtracks between countries of the same continent, but of different musical traditions.
I hope you enjoy them, and if you want, comments and feedback are appreciated. :)

STRUCTURE OF THE SOUNDTRACKS (for curiosity or if someone wants to contribute)
Every soundtrack has 50 songs for Peace and 50 for War, organized in the Peace, Either and War Folder

PS: All the soundtracks are hosted on MEGA since the file size is too big

For adding the soundtrack to new civs, go to the bottom of the file "Soundtrack Changes.xml" of the soundtrack you want to use, to the Civilizations row, and add a row like this (changing the tags accordingly):

<Update>
<Set SoundtrackTag="TAG_NAME"/>
<Where Type="CIVILIZATION_YOUR CIV"/>

Separate Byzantium from Mediterrean and giving it a "religious twist" or put some Byzantine-like religious chant in Mediterrean Soundtrack?

Brazil is not included in the list because of this awesome soundtrack made by Leugi for Modern South and Central American civilizations.

India's music would probably be quite different from Thailand and Indonesia. That pack would be just as silly as having mostly Chinese/Japanese music play for those civs already. It also seems strange to put Polynesia with the Iroqouis and Shoshone and the Celts with the Scandinavian civs and Russia.

Other than that, you have a good idea going here.

Thumbing through them, I suggest you replace the Samurai Warriors songs in the Japan pack since they have an electronic beat to them.

I put the songs from Samurai Warriors to represent a more modern Japan, and to spice a bit the soundtrack. I'll try to see if overwriting music to the installed mod works. If yes, i'll put here some replacement song with the same name of the samurai warriors ones, so that one can choose what to keep and what not.
As regarding India, I might separate it from South East asian civs.
For Polynesia in Native American soundtrack, I really don't know if I'm able to put a full soundtrack for Polynesia only, so I wanted to mix Polinesian music to native americans music, to represent both cultures. I might choose to split them if I have enough time and material.
As regarding Celts, I putted them with the Scandinavian and Russia for their similitude of being "people of the North" and some similarities between Scandinavian music and Celtic music.

Great idea!

I think that Polynesia's soundtrack is pretty fine as it is, the soundtrack does sound pretty fitting and immersive whilst playing through it. Also not sure if America really needs it's own soundtrack.

I beg to differ - Polynesia needs its own soundtrack. I was planning one as part of a Polynesia split, but if there's one on the cards here then we can probably work together on that.

@Pouakai and sukritact
Since I haven't started the Polynesian and Siamese soundtrack, and since I've not chosen any song for them at all, what do you say about helping me with the search for songs or in doing the soundtrack? We could make this project communitary, and we could split better the soundtracks between the various civs.
PS: since I've been busy with studying, I stopped the creation of the Middle East Soundtrack. I don't know when I could start over, but it's probabile that I'll do the Chinese one first since I have already more songs for them. And I'll see that thing about the Japanese one.
PPS: do you think I should split China and Korea in two separate soundtracks?

Now I really wish that Civ V had unique soundtracks for each civ, rather than soundtracks for areas with special war and peace themes. Looking forward to shoving this into my copy.
