Let's say all superpowers, past (e.g. Roman Empire, Mongol Empire, British Empire, etc.), present (USA) and prospective (PRC, India, EU, etc.), each had one superhero that embodied its character, values, etc.

What would each superpower superhero names, superpower and origin stories?

Mongol Empire. Rape-Man. Powers include ultra fertility and the ability to both rape and pillage entire cities from horseback simultaneously without stopping.

Bah, your superheroes are bi-curious and ugly clothed braggarts! The German Empire enters the competition with our much more masculine and ass-kicking DORN (Thorn)!!!1
(until I think of something myself)

Now that´s how real heroes look like :D!

Do the children of Rape-Man get the powers of Rape-Man?

Also the Uber-Ninja of Japan will rule them all.

Man that SuperDupont guy is the best yet, these nationalist superheroes are great. The germans guy doesn't look particularily german though.

What about Asterix for France? Throw in Getafix, Obelix, Dogmatix...hell, the whole village: You have a French Superhero Legion!

Edit: Oh, duh, superpowers. Hmmm...Russia?

Born from the depths of Chernobyl, it's Radioactive Oil-backed Dictator Man! Faster than a speeding ICBM, more powerful than Putin, this superhero has the ability to raise Russian nationalism while simultaneously making a mockery out of basic human rights!

Except the whole Asterix & Obelix thing is based on the Franco-Gallic myth rather than on France itself.

The Roman one would be Horatius, and he would have the ability to swim anywhere, in any conditions. He'd be the best lifeguard ever.

Well, you are right, he isn´t the "official" German superhero, because we have none. And regarding "other" superheroes made in Germany... well, I guess he´s the only one, so I had to post him :D.

SuperDupont is great :)!

why have so many when you only need one......CAPTAIIIIIIIIIN PLANET!!!!!!

I think we certainly need a superhero to represent all Europe and specifically European Union.

A good superhero for the EU would be "Sneaking Bill" a superhero with the ability to get what he wants by: ignoring the views and wills of the people, to keep forcing the little guy until they give what he wants, breaking his own rules and sneaking pass his enemies while hiding parts of himself!

Interesting thread idea. America has a wide choice of superpowers seeing as they created many propropro-American heroes. Britain would be Dangermouse.
