Switch Aztec and China colors

Is anyone else put off by the Aztecs being red and China being green? I wish these two nations would swap colors. I remember the Aztecs as being green in CIV 3 and 4, not to mention I think green jungles when I think of Aztecs. And China, I mean China is red!!!

A fresh blow of air isn't that bad thing, in my opinion.

I think red fits Aztecs very well. It reminds of blood. Bloody jungles, blood-thirst nation... Pretty cool, huh?

Yeah, the red Aztecs doesn't bug me as much as the green Chinese. Even yellow for China would've been slightly better for me. I guess it's just when I see those borders I almost always think Aztecs (from previous Civs) and never intuitively think that green borders are China.

It's not a huge deal, just surprising to me that they would make China green and change Aztec colors after the past two Civs had Aztecs as green.

Vermilion was pretty much "the" imperial color throughout much of Chinese history. Red would fit China much better than green.

Not really - yellow was the imperial colour (as in, reserved for the emperor or his kin, people not related to the emperor were not even allowed to use it) for most of the time and still is today, except there is no emperor anymore who would use it - but ironically, it was red during Wu Zetian's time.

Anyway, my point was just that there aren't enough colours to just pick the most obvious one for every civ.

Now, I really agree that China should be red / orange or yellow.

Only because that would match Wu Zeitans outfit.

England should be Orange actually, China Red, Siam Yellow, Songhai Brown, Arabia green .....

But wait, babylon, ottomans and aztec are all meant to be green too :x

I hate colours in Civ 5, why not just let the player customise the colour for each team however they like?

I suppose they could be modded, they appear to be inside Assets\Gameplay\XML\Interface in XML files.

so the borders and also the dragon symbol could be modded to be red? I guess you'd have to create a custom logo for it? (i like the dragon, just not green)
