What is that sword icon thingy in the place where there could be a harbor symbol? Look in the upper right-hand corner of this picture:

Also, how can portugal have a caravel, if their unique unit is a carrack, that replaces caravels?

Here's the answer to that question:

The Portuguese do not have a UU in this scenario. Instead, their advantage is that they start the scenario in a Golden Age due to the recent completion of the Dias' Voyage Great Wonder.

All of the nations start with Caravels and can advance to Carracks and Galleons as the game progresses.

Yeah, the sword probably is a barracks symbol. Or didn't a review say that there were buildings that were required to build certain units in a conquest, and the sword indicates swordsmen can be built there?

I think that it is probably a barracks icon. Either that or something that they haven't told us about yet.

could be one of those templar knight building spots or Statue of Zeus horseman creating thing...or a barracks

Damn, see the post above and it says the same thing. Ok let me change my idea then- it could be a place where u can forge iron

...or a place where you can buy Swords?

Only in an RPG, but Sid doesn't make those kind of games.

BTW, it hardly will indicate a Wonder, since both Oporto and Lisbon have it in this screen (which seems to be the start of AoD, right?).

hmm, Should I tell you? Or keep you guessing until November 4th? ;)

Well, no need to enlighten me (I'm already in the Modern Ages ;) ), but if you could tell me when I finally will be able to hold a copy of C3C in my hands, now that would be nice! 11/4, how likely is that?

Did you guys just come out of a cave or something? ;)

Civ3 Conquests has already gone gold (read the main site). Also, AoD stands for Age of Discovery. Also, the icons around the city stand for improvements...

We know it went gold, but its still nine days until it comes out! I thought so one the icon though.... But what improvement, I guess I'll have to wait nine days....
