Taking enemy capitals

so your comment was more regarding a certain Chinese player? :mischief: I understand now, and yes it was phrased rather unfortunately.

I like to think that I was not aiming towards particular people, more against particular ideas or moods, that I read more often than I’m comfortable with.

And yes, communication is hard. So I should also note to myself that a lot of the comments that bother me. Maybe be also not as well phrased as their authors may want them to be.

But that is why discussing exists.

My comment was only aimed to the people that is extremely vocal and hyperbolic about the difficulty and the state of the AI, talking as if the game was a piece of garbage.

Lol, yea there's a ton of hot air sometimes.

Play however you want, but saying " I am hella good because I know how to abuse bugs and rig games and everyone who can't must be inferior" is pretty lame. But then again we already have that difficulty thread for that nonsense so just leave it there. Just post a below average start and challenge people to play it-- you can see what's really up.

"Of that ilk" makes it sound like I'm some sort of political extremist or pervert.

A pedant writes: actually "ilk" means "the same". As in, "Montcrieff of that ilk" means "Montcrieff of Montcrieff", i.e. the family name is the same as the estate name. Any other use is technically wrong.

I am aware of that, but genuinely only see that word used with negative context. Where that connotation comes from I don't know.
