taking snapshots in smax

I use paint shop pro 6 and a few other programs (infraview so on). When I try to take a snapshot of smax, it comes out all weird looking.

Anybody know a way to take a quality snapshot of this game (hopefully a way that isn't expensive, maybe free ? I'm trying to update my smac page (at http://www.psykho.com/games/smac/ ) .. and .. want to put in a few snapshots to better explain some of the junk I'm doing.

On the upper part of most keyboards, you will see a key that says "print scrn". Hit that when game is going. Get out of game, go to some sort of graphic program (like psp, photoshop etc), click "paste". It works in most cases.
