With a patch m game playing Os-Gabella, Final Five, Increasing Difficulty, a big stack mostly made up of Pyre Zombies, I thought it would be another regular turn from the AI. After capturing Thessa's first huge city, I moved some Pyre Zombies and others troops out and ended turn, expecting a regular sort of AI response, so I went to have lunch. Twenty five minutes later I came back, to find the enemy still attacking! I happened to have the Baron and one Blooded Werewolf at the end of my turn. The turn lasted at least half an hour, and by the start of my next turn I had 92 Werewolves. :king: Never mind the Pyre Zombies, 46 times more Werewolves than I started with means I don't think I'll *that* much trouble for the rest of the game. :D

(But if the Baron had not produced a Ravenous Werewolf (75% chance) when he was attacked, and the Blooded Werewolf had died, I think the outcome would have been a little different. :crazyeye:)

No wonder the Baron does not have the hero promotion! <grin>

What are your most epic turns?

Best regards,
Steven.

Yeah, I also thought it would be a discussion about game speed.

LMFAO@waiting half an hour for the battle animations

hey, talking about the Baron, i started a modern age game, and to my supprise i started the game with TWO barrons! as if one wasnt enough to produce a unstoppable hoard of warewolfs.

anyway, the game started with me sending a barron in each direction, gathering warefolfs as he went, and wiping out the world before i even got a chance to fully establish my cities.

I think styarting with TWO barrons in the modern age start is a bit overpowered. even one of them would have been enough to wipe the world, the second barron just made it faster.

Well, it's good to know that for next time. =) I just haven't had that many turns that have lasted more than about a minute, even with fighting animations on. But I definitely will turn off the fighting animations from now on. ;)

Best regards,
Steven.

that is definitely a bug that should be reported in the bug thread ;)

This has been reported a bunch of times, in fact I think Magister had a crusade to get this fixed at one time... :)

For the longest time I kept animations on so that it wouldn't be such a shock when my precious unit was destroyed. (I still hate that) I also started to notice a trend, first blooded lost.
But, I liked the battle animations. What I really wish is that the animation duration was determined by the battle results. It seemed to me that the animation length was the same no matter the matchup. If this could be altered so that close battles would be longer and lopsided would be quick more interest might be warrented.
