Team Amazon pitboss

I've got my save if needed. Which would effectively start the turn over, since I played first.

No worries all should be well now... Sort of:lol:

So comrades, I have good:thumbsup: and bad:thumbsdown: news...

The good news is that I got the game up on my old laptop, and I am able to still use the crashy, buggy laptop to play my turns. So I logged in and paused for those who have not played with 14 hours on the clock.

New Pitboss Info-
Hamachi Network: AMAZON PB III
Password: AMAZON
Direct IP: 5.9.131.114

Now for the bad news :(... I foolishly opened a Diplo window with one of the remaining players to move this turn while the game was paused, so he ain't gonna be able to play his turn until the game gets unpaused. I can't unpause, because I locked myself in a Diplo screen

Played my turn and paused for bbp and Bobbyboy with 4 hours on the timer. If someone is stuck in a diplo, send me a message in the hamachi chat - I'll unpause for you in the next 4-5 hours.

There have been snowstorms here, so I am hoping that is why the connection kept going down...:please:

But... I am thinking that it may have something to do with me adding the new laptop to my home network, as well as the sleep and hibernate functions of all the laptops on the network not working well together. I am noticing that the internet stays strong while I am on one of the computers, but the minute I leave them alone for a while, internet is lost.

So I have made many many adjustments today to try and fix this problem. We will see what happens. The only other thing I can think of is that the Router has gone bad all of a sudden, but that is my last resort.

:yuck: At least I know its not a bad CPU this time. The laptop running the pitboss has been a very reliable computer for me for last few years.

I think the crash was the result of my Computer doing an update.

Also, a heads up to everyone... Those sneaky b@stards at LogMeIn have changed Hamachi so it only allows 8 users in a network instead of 16:rolleyes:... can't blame them for trying to make money, but this means we dont have enough slots for everyone, as the Pitboss CPU takes up one of the slots:(

I didn't have time to deal with this issue this AM, so I server-side paused for us to try this workaround. I created a second Hamachi network on the same CPU. The info is:

Network name: AMAZON PB IIIA
Password: AMAZON
IP: Same
(I think... but I will doublecheck when I get home)

My theory is that if you join the second network, you will still be able to access the Pitboss, you just wont be able to IM people in the first network from the second one and vice-versa. I hope this works:please:

So folks with second Computers that they like to use, now is the time to try and join the second network from your other computer. The login IP should be the same IIRC. Just be aware that the game is down right now. I will start it back up from the last autosave when I get home (about 9 hours).

Game back up. I will be out of town and possibly out of contact/unable to play for 2 days. Just an FYI.

As a reminder to everyone (Donovan ;)), please turn Hamachi OFF after you play. It slows my Netflix cartoons down for my son and causes my wife to complain... "Why can't someone else host that stuff on their computer? Why is netflix so slow? Is it from that game?:gripe:"

Get the picture?...

Please turn Hamachi off when you finish your turn.

Can someone pause if the turn is not flipped yet? It was down when I tried to play yesterday and dont want to miss a turn.
