I started a second one just for fun! Get in while the gettin's good (once someone accepts that is). This one I had max. out at 15 players instead of 12. Same 7-day time limit per move.

"The sailors" have accepted our challenge : Here's the Match, join now & lets leave 'em high & dry.

I need my rating to go down so I can play against someone who I can beat.

Crap, Mehmed & I have our work cut out for us. Out of three players on their side that have joined the top two are rated 2401 & 2247.

Edit : makes me feel a little better than this guy's "best win" is only 1915.

Of course his 52 wins and 1 loss (and 1 draw) is a bit intimidating nonetheless.

I decided against not joining, I'm only away for two weeks so the opening phase will not yet be over when I'm back.

I have joined, playing 3rd board against DaPharaoh (1591) from The Sailors. His best win is 1769, and best rating was 1759. Perhaps he's had a bad run lately, so definitely can't let my guard down.

Outranked by200 or so on every board. I dont think we're gonna win this one.

Any win will be an achievement!

Last year in a division 3 match we were out-rated by almost 400 points on average. We won 6,5-1,5. Never say never. Except proverbially.

Well, the sailors axed their lowest two players & started the match.

Hugely outgunned on every board by these shady sealovers, lets give it our A-game & try to teach 'em a lesson!

And I've learned one also. Never have a minimum of only 5 players, all our lower rated CFCers (including those actually quite strong like Panazar & luce) got cut out of the equation.

I just got a good look at the ratings and the boards of this match. The rating differences on each board are hugely unfavourable for us.

People, we have drawn first blood! 1-0 in our favour, game is here.

I must confess that at one point (move 25) I offered him a draw. Luckily he didn't accept it and we went on. Hopefully playing white next game will help me a little.
