Tech Tree Talk in Reddit Worldbuilding

I've started a daily post series in the Worldbuilding subreddit called Tech Tree Talk. The idea is that each day I post about one of the techs from the C2C tech tree, starting at the beginning, and post information about that tech that might interest people building their own worlds. So far, there hasn't been a lot of response other than my own comments, but I thought I'd post the first batch here and if anyone is interested, you might stop by and join in!

This is actually really awesome! Loving the way you're using our tech tree to prompt considerations for world creation. That's very cool. I'll try to add some comments myself now and then.

EDIT: You're really showing how our tree can be a great list of key considerations for culture and world creation... loving it!

We have 929 techs.
One tech per day = over one year of posts.
Wouln't be surprised if few tens of techs were added in meantime.

1069 techs according to Hydro's sheet -- I assume not all of those are implemented yet, but I'll probably use them nonetheless... although most of them are near the far end. Almost three years of posts at one tech a day. Interestingly enough, post 100 will be Sedentary Lifestyle, essentially, the point where most default civ tech trees BEGIN.

His tech tree has 153 columns, while actual one has 160 columns.
Maybe you miscounted columns few times - so you counted twice 140 techs.?

Ok, found my error. I have 922 techs on his list, so i'm off by 7 based on your count. More like 2 and 1/2 years then. Still impressive if i can keep it up!

Some techs could be added after Hydromancer updated his tech tree - its state for V37.

Found the missing techs -- all the new "Lifestyle" techs that start a new era, plus a religion after radio. 929 now!
