Tell us the story of your first 1.2 game

After a few games I must agree with you all in regards to treasure fleet. I've even ran -1 AI in DL and still couldn't get more than 1 a settlement.

Now, I do love the Economic Dark Age in Modern. It's my favorite dark age. And I think the Economic Gold Age is a happiness trap. But, I'd like the option of playing 25% of the game in the Exploration Age.....

Got Ibn Battuta to lvl 9 for his momento. About to try him on Diety with it once I launch a space mission in 4 turns to wrap up this game.

Time to take The Ryhla and Diety for a spin!

First game I got forward settled and denounced by my 2 neighbors and was quickly wiped from history.

Second game; Switch to Trung Trac (never played her). Maya, Tiny, Quick Time, Long Ages, Moderate Disasters. Take The Ryhla and +1 Culture Attribute as Momentos. I hit her Econ and Sci attributes pretty quickly, and got a free Diplo point. Even at Diety I'm leading Science and slightly behind on Culture.

Napoleon and Tecumseh are clear on the other side of continent and Tecumseh forward settled him so they are at war. Whew! Some breathing room.

T44; just finished unique district. 2 towns, behind the capital (keeping distance from those 2) and both have 1 camel. I've removed 2 IP (Tecumseh hates me as always) and am a few turns from Suz my 2nd IP. The only problem with back settling is that I dont have trade route distance to anyone. I had to reject Napoleon's early denouncement but he's happy with me for now.

1 econ Legacy point. Going for Science Golden Age.

We have ended Antiquity with a Future Tech, Future Civ (espionage is awesome), and a Science Golden Age. Only 2 Cities and 3 towns which was a bummer. I thought I could take one of Tecumseh's but it just didnt work out that way. Tecumseh decided to throw don the gauntlet with about 80% of the age done. I've included a short video of what the world looks like at end of Antiquity.

Nice touch with the video. I keep meaning to put screenshots on mine but I post on here on my phone. I've got the game fired up though about to head into modern.

Been busy so I'm only T65 into Exp. A few turns ago we jumped from 66% to 71% into a crisis so I'm pretty sure Rizal is already into Future Civs with his 1300+ culture. Just finished my first Future Tech. We're now at 76%.
Already have 1 Military path point but I'm 1 city away from eliminating Tecumseh. Rizal, Napolean and I are allied. I have or will have 2 points in all other paths but probably no golden ages. The Science one might come in but I doubt it.

Edit: I guess i was closer than I thought. 2 turns later and I've conquered Tecumseh's last city, scored Golden Ages for Science and Culture and we're now 86% done.

@MutilationWave Are you going to make one of these for each patch or are you going to rename this thread?
