Term 1 - Election for Resources and Technology Counsul

1. I would like to see a proposed technology plan for Term One as Fanatannia from each candidate?
I want to see the wheel researched first, but am flexible to see it second, or at the latest third. Following that, I want to get iron working at the absolute minimum time. Then we need to see where we stand from there.

2. I would like to see what priority the candidates take to these technology lines.

3. What is most important, Resource Map or Government/Philosophy/Literature?
Early on, we need to find and acquire as many strategic, luxury, and even bonus resources as possible. Once we get iron, horses, a few luxuries, and a handful of nice city sites, then we can begin thinking about other things. No use learning the passé composé before learning être/avoir, after all.

Anything that the people want to research..well the majority. But I would say I would like to get to the wonders and the governments. Iron Working for sure.

Literature. Once we research more techs and the faster we can work on the resources, then government, then Philosophy.

3. What is most important, Resource Map or Government/Philosophy/Literature?

1) As has been my platform for this entire election, I am a fan of the governments. Get us to the Republic would be my primary goal. We could trade with our neighbors (assuming we have them) for anything else. This will not be a 5CC, so it will not matter about finding the resources before our ammount of cities runs out. While I realize I will have to tailor this plan to whatever the WOTP may be, I still personally feel we should primarily go for the governments. This path also includes Philo (we could try for the Philo-Republic gambit) and Literature.

2) I am the governmental candidate. So, of course, my first line must be
The Republic Tech Line
Now, I do not feel that this second one should be considered a separate line. It may branch off sideways, but it is still part of the path:
Philosophy
Now, this next one I know may surprise people, but I'm not stupid. I know it has to be researched in a timely fashion.
Iron-Currency Line
Now, the next line I consider to be part of the last line, as its a prereq for it.
Wheel-Horsemen
I do not see us needing Monarchy, but the techs prior to it must be researched to end the age
Monarchy Tech line
Other Lines will come into play as they go.

3) Unlike my main opponent, I feel that the passé composé (have I mentioned I hate the French language? I just can't get it under my tongue like I can the other 4 Romance languages) is what we need. The basics can be taught to us. We can find them from barbarians and from less civilized cultures. We are the English, dammit. We are used to feeling like we own the place. We did at one time! (we just got lazy) And better yet, why am I using French words? Were the worlds biggest Francophobes. We want the meaty parts. Let us be the envy of the rest of the world with our advanced government and our culture! Let us be English!

Congrats SAAM, second thought, it may be best to spearhead for philsosophy and then add in Mapmaking and Literature in that order. Seafaring will be key in this game.

Kudos to you, Stuck. It went from 9-3 to 12-9, and finally to 19-13. I enjoyed running against such a fine opponent. Too bad I ran out of breath.

I encourage all citizens to hear out SaaM's call of unity, but do not be afraid to speak your minds. I know I will still be moving to get the wheel and iron working discovered in a timely manner. If you disagree with any of his plans, stand up and post.

Hats off to truckingpete and Sucha_Soorma. It was nice to have a wide variety of candidates for the people to choose from. I enjoyed this election the most, mainly because of the variety. Thanks to you both.

And now I'll ride off into the sunset. I'll be posting and fighting to get those techs discovered; everyone else fight for your plans. But don't worry. I'll be back! Mark my words! Muhahaha!
