Despite my respect for Mhcarver's legacy of sound Judiciating last Demogame, I have decided to again run against him for Judge Advocate. I
accept my nomination.
As Mhcarver himself admits, this is a different demogame. Sadly, we can no longer rely on the stability and constitutional completeness we enjoyed in DG5. What we do have, however, is a competant and hardworking Judiciary that has helped to shape our Demogame for the better. Blackheart, ravensfire, and myself have worked hard to rule on citizen-requesting Reviews in a just and expeditious manner. The current Judiciary has also fostered several amendment discussions, as well as helping them along towards completion. As it stands now, a number of proposals are currently being developed, and two are close to ratification. Our constitution is being improved as we speak. To put it bluntly: the Judiciary is working, why mess with success?

1. How do you interperate the laws? Liberaly or Conservatively?
While I hesitate to use the word "conservative" because of its obvious political meaning, I would have to say that I tend to view our laws fairly literally. There is a reason for this. We, as citizens, worked long and hard in the time leading up to the start of the game to write the best legal framework we could. Admitedly, our Constitution and CoL as a whole have plenty of room for improvement (to put it mildly). However, I think that each individual law in our books is a well-written, well-thought out piece of work. Individual citizens put a great deal of effort into crafted the law as best they could. In light of this, I would be doing a disservice to those citizens by interpreting their words liberaly. Every law has a specific meaning, and it's my job to find that meaning, not make it up.
